a pve+non competitive, editor/sandbox/workshop game?

well, it's an unusual advice request but...I'm tired of chasing raids, achievements, rankings, levels.
I like to make a game last a lot, but being free of playing it as I prefer.
no necessity of a good party/guild, no high amount of lore or one run storyplot, no ping and lags, no ladders or tiring long hours of anxious grind to keep the pace.
after years of lf a "different" mmo, all of these games turned out to be just empty increasing numbers.
gw2 was the greatest mistake, but also d3 with one nerf and boost aftter another and endless paragons and new tiers.

recently, enjoyed a lot Doorkickers because of workshop and mod/level editor.
also torchlight 2 is a good example of what I'm looking for.
games with huge replayability and variety, no competition, easy to learn gameplay.
even doom classic, with zdoom and heaps of WADs.

Is there anything else alike?

There are a lot of single player games like that on steam. If second life is still around, that would fit those criteria in an mmo.

not mmo only, but also sp/coop host/guest.
what i need is replayability through random generation or custom content...and possibly action-oriented.
