Argh isn't that a fire hazard.

You know when I read those threads on the forums I am oddly spending a lot of time on forums these past few days reading about the GTX 1070 and 1080 and people talking the small ITX cases and whether they can fit a small 1080 inside. I used to just think why don't you use some custom build plastic pieces that you cut up using a case for reference but I am sure it is not as simple as that or else the people who sell cases wouldn't make money.

Isn't the title meant to say "No expense spent"?  ;)

How old is that pic? Those look like PS/2 keyboard/mouse ports.

But taken literally it does mean that no expense was spared meaning nothing was spent no ? Usually it is taken to mean you spend tonnes of money but if you take each word's meaning not as a whole it does mean no money was spent. NVM lol am confusing myself.

Not in itself; Farenheit 451.  but the acid in the cardboard will eventually damage the motherboard traces. Paper is a decent insulator it's just not very sturdy.

Looks like an AM2+ Asrock Motherboard built with scrap or outdated hardware lol.

So that means it would be like DDR2, and Phenom II X4?

As for Fire-Hazard that would depend on how hot its going to actually run could be...

Back in my younger days, when I barely made enough money to afford ramen and bologna, I had more than one build that was put together in the box the motherboard came in, and would have to be "jump started" with a coin or a car key across the PWR BTN terminals.

Ah, the good ole days when I was constantly broke. Well, I guess the constantly broke part didn't really change, but my standard of living is a bit past ramen now (but not bologna).

Also, ~probably~ not a fire hazard - computers run hot, but not so hot as to ignite paper. Or at least, when they are running properly. I don't know how much air flow is in a taped up cardboard box, but a modern computer (one build in the last 15 years or so) will throttle or shut down on overtemp long before it gets to the point where it would be able to catch something on fire.

Now, if something were to break - and that does happen on occasion, I've seen a couple of PSUs have caps explode or a motherboard start throwing sparks - then yeah,  you'd be able to literally roast marshmallows.

I think it's a clever "mod" though, it does take a bit of work to actually get the cardboard cut out and taped up right. I wonder if they are supporting the video card, or if it's just  hanging on for dear life by the DVI cutout and adapter. I imagine this would be fairly common for people who build their own cases - they will make a cardboard mockup before they take it to plastic or metal

How did you get a picture of my rig?

I've since removed the fans - I felt they were restricting airflow too much.

It is a fire hazard if a common failure is enough to turn it into a bonfire.

Most fire hazards do not ~probably~ ever actually catch fire. They're just things that have a higher probability of catching into fire, amplify a fire should one occur, or decrease the chance of humans escaping a fire should one occur.

I remember years ago there was a Diablotek 800w PSU for $5 on Newegg. 2 reviews. Both of them caught fire.

Should see if you can partner with this site and advertise it with multiple click links and get perhaps Hive leader or Ripper to do a review   lmao.
Right as the review is happening a fire starts in the motherboard but no worries Ripper and Hive will provide you with a link where to buy it along with a link to buy a fire extinguisher and rate the product a 10/10 for safety 10/10 fire safe .It's only con is it doesn't come with an on/off switch but one of those can be purchased through another link at our partner site !!.

Coming soon,5 more threads on same computer all with matching fire burn marks, hey it's now artistic looking but we won't charge any extra for the artistic look.

PLEASE join our KS,we want to be able to provide these self contained fire units to people all across the globe !!
