Next AAA MMO

When's the next AAA MMO due out?  (i.e. rumors of month/quarter if possible)

*EDIT:  AAA can mean something you like that is decent quality and looks good to you visually.  Not being strict with the AAA definition here hehe :)

IMPORTANT:  Please keep all replies to my posts about GAMING.  Please no negative or backhanded comments directed at me personally.  If you are going to post a reply that includes how you feel about me, please don't bother replying & just ignore my post instead.  I'm on this forum to talk about GAMING.  Thank you.

    Are you defining 'aaa' as in amount of cash thrown at it or the experience of the company making the game. 

    Or perhaps the people or persons involved in making the game and how much experience that or those individuals have. 

    Personally I think the 'aaa' title in mmo's is long dead due to some of these so called 'aaa' titles being utter shit. 

    Personally I think the next mmo that brings back that mmo/aaa feeling for me will be Pantheon. 

    I would say we are near enough pass the point of debating whether the game will come out or not. 

    So yeah Pantheon for me.

    AAA is open to interpretation so what ever you feel is AAA.  I'm not being super strict on this thread hehehe.

    ohhhhh my. i just saw a vid of the gameplay on youtube.  this looks awesome.  dang i wish i knew what month its out!!!!!

    Pretty much "what year" is the proper question for most pending titles being it usually won't be this one.

    The original meaning of "AAA" was "Big budget, Big Team, Big Name Studio".

    But since those criteria seem to be a thing of the past (in NA/EU anyway), we can probably arbitrarily start calling our respective favourite indie projects "AAA", because... reasons...

    Nothing in the foreseeable future, tbh.  There are some crowd-funded games working towards it this year perhaps.  As far as like a Square-Enix or Blizzard-level company getting involved though?  Yeah nothing.  In fact there hasn't been in a long time. 
    Pretty sure most AAA devs won't even touch MMOs anymore.  From a business perspective they are VERY ambitious ventures.

    yeah, i should have been more clear in my OP.  AAA is open, i'm not being strict about it, its what you think is decent quality + something you like + looks good to you.

    If by AAA you mean the skill and experience of the Dev team, Pantheon. 

    If by AAA you mean inexhaustible resources, something out of Amazon Game Studios. 

    EQ1, EQ2, SWG, SWTOR, GW, GW2 CoH, CoV, FFXI, WoW, CO, War,TSW and a slew of free trials and beta tests

    Definitely not a survival game because one of Amazon's 3 games is already a survival game lol. So this will definitely be a big budget MMORPG. But I suspect the new BHS/Kakao game will be released first. I think they said Project W was going to be in beta in Korea early this year so must be soon? I expect we'll get it soon after that.

    Companies that used to make games, now just import/publish/cash shop the crap out them. Sad to think all we have to look forward to now is foreign imports.

    Since Blizzard gave us Overwatch instead of Titan the next "most anticipated AAA" IMHO would be Star Citizen.

    Yes im definitely waitingn for Lineage eternal and lost ark, but still no international release dates posted....

    - New World by Amazon Game Studios
    - Project A2 by NCsoft
    - Project W / project EXA by Kakao Games and Bluehole Studios

    Amazon's New World. At least Amazon is fresh blood, so chances there is it won't be more of the same, the description seems interesting enough.

    But that one seems far off attm. We'll see.
