There’s been a trend over the past decade or so to pad the value of story-driven games out with tacked-on multiplayer and to tack on story-driven single player campaigns to games that are largely known for their multiplayer (ex. Battlefield). So, when Mass Effect 3 launched with a multiplayer component in back in 2012, I asked myself a familiar question: Why?

Multiplayer features are not supposed to affect the single-player game experience, but does that mean the "Bonus Stats" you can earn in multiplayer don't carry over to your character in the single-player campaign ?
I'm not sure I like where this is going.
in the end I will be thankfull, I will not ahve to spend money on ea games for some long years, plus not having to deal with origin is a big plus
Multiplayer stat bonuses do not impact your single player character, no.
Good to hear !
It would be a pity to see the Mass Effect franchise evolve into a multiplayer game with a SPG campaign "tacked on", lol

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I did actually play it and didn't find anything compelling about it. Did two matches and never touched it again. ME:A SP from what i have seen, reminds me of ME3MP. That worries me a bit since i wasn't all that thrilled with ME3MP.
As long as it doesn't touch SP in anyway, I'm fine with it, but would rather they have spent the money on the SP portion of the game.

I'm the type of person who bounces from one game to the next and has a huge backlog and numerous other hobbies, but I can respect that some people really love those games they can stick with for months or years, and if going back to multiplayer with a group of friends can provide that, that's awesome.
I'd buy ME:A just for the multiplayer if it was as enjoyable as ME:3's, but I intend to wait for more reviews, after the somewhat dodgy Dragon Age: Inquisition multiplayer.
You mean Dragon Age Inquisition?

Ugh just read that early review...this is why I am not too keen into multiplayer being tacked on to single player games...

Unfortunately also the single player streams didn't get me excited at all. Even less if I compare them to Horizon or Zelda. When I watched those streams they really made me want to get those games and play them (which I didn't because I own no consoles and I am not going to spend 700 euros for two games. ). On the other hand watching an MEA single player stream I always got the urge to fast forward the stream. Was a little boring. On a side note I have to say the faces of humans and human-like race look .... dumb. Looks like someone sucked their brains out. Somehow without life. Difficult to describe.
But I hope I am wrong and single player will be worth it...
