World of Warcraft News - The World of Warcraft community site has been updated with a brief look at a new series of solo quests to gain a special artifact appearance. These quests will only be available during times on the Broken Shore when the Mage Tower is active -- which is only for three days before it is destroyed. Eligible players will receive a quest to take on a difficult opponent, a very difficult one that, when beaten will yield the new appearance.

Nice weapons I guess it's not only Asian games that have oversized weapons.

Artifact weapons can't be used for transmog and will not be used in the next expansion, right? Waste of time imo, but hey, to each their own.

They've already said all appearances will be able to be used by people who earn them during this xpac. So no, it's not a waste of time.

To confirm, they did say that they wanted you to be able to use appearances in future expansions once you've earned them.

Though I'm a little dissatisfied as a whole with what they are trying in this article. They should use their own CM scaling down system to make a real challenge. Not just give people with Mythic or 7.3+ future equipment a free (or easier) ride as a whole.

Due to frequent travel in my youth, English isn't something I consider my primary language (and thus I obtained quirky ways of writing).  German and French were always easier for me despite my family being U.S. citizens for over a century.  Spanish I learned as a requirement in school, Japanese and Korean I acquired for my youthful desire of anime and gaming (and also work now).  I only debate in English to help me work with it (and limit things).  In addition, I'm not smart enough to remain fluent in everything and typically need exposure to get in the groove of things again if I haven't heard it in a while.  If you understand Mandarin, I know a little, but it has actually been a challenge and could use some help.

Also, I thoroughly enjoy debates and have accounts on over a dozen sites for this.  If you wish to engage in such, please put effort in a post and provide sources -- I will then do the same with what I already wrote (if I didn't) as well as with my responses to your own.  Expanding my information on a subject makes my stance either change or strengthen the next time I speak of it or write a thesis.  Allow me to thank you sincerely for your time.

I didn't realize Blizzard released their stance on transmog. I coulda sworn they said you can't transmog a normal weapon with a legendary skin. I was offhandedly wondering what weapons they'd use in the next expan that are better than legendaries. I stand corrected.

Yeah this is really disappointing... They have such a great system(talking about CM), but instead they are opting-in for the grind, since I guess that's what makes people invest more time in their game.

Well I personally won't bother to gather more gear, so that I can faceroll it and if I can't get it... well I don't really care. To be honest this is the first expansion that I've felt like "meh doesn't really matter". I've been playing the game since early alpha and yet this expansion somehow managed to put me in that mood. In fact there was a period of close to 3 months that I didn't log in the game and that should speak volumes of the content it has to offer.

If you aren't a raider I honestly don't see what's there to do. Farm AP?

It took 13+ years to figure that out?

7.2 adds more grind. Blizzard devs are some of the smartest idiots on Earth. They see all of these Asian grinders and are trying to be more like them instead of keeping on with what has worked for years. This game is in dire need of horizontal progression instead of vertical every expansion pack. You can't expect players to commit to a year long grind doing the same things over and over for it all to be taken away next expansion.

They also seem to have forgotten that they need to cater to the players that aren't at endgame, you know, the ones that still have a reason to play beyond what many endgamers are doing where they gobble up any new content in literally a few days, then unsub until the next expansion and sometimes even wait until they get bribed into coming back with offers of special gifts.... Where's the incentive for new players and those who keep subbed and play the "journey" of the game, often never ever reaching endgame because by the time they get naturally to the "new" content much of the player base(those endgamers that rushed through the game to keep up to the "elites") have left the game again or they see the new expansion on the horizon making the old "new" content not worth the effort?
