Atlantica Online News - Valofe will be taking over service from Nexon on Atlantica Online beginning on January 11th and current players are strongly reminded to use the transfer service prior to that date in order to retain their characters in their current iteration.

Use to love this game, nothing better than squad based combat with turn based mechanics, the strategy was a lot of fun but you really couldn't play this game long without having to buy something. Also, the community for this game has dropped off significantly

I wish we had a AAA quality mmorpg with this type of turn based combat. It was really good, but the rest of the game was meh at best and didn't live up to this amazing combat style. And monetization was indeed terrible. I stopped playing this game back when it was still published by IJJI, before NHN sold 100% of IJJI stakes to Aeria Games. It just kept going down hill after that.

The Atlantica Online community is still going strong and so is the game. There are a ton of mercenaries (over 70) and plenty to do all the way to max level (currently 170).
