As everybody undoubtedly knows, today is April Fool's Day, a day that many game developers love to celebrate with weird and (sometimes) funny antics. We'll be keeping track of as many as we can find, but be sure to leave a comment if you see one that we've missed.

    Foxbat is surely a joke ( /runs away from the rabid Foxbat fans :lol: ), but that's not tied to April Fool day, it's his annual Con, praising his "greatness". It is a fun event, usually with nice cosmetics and rewards.

    Neverwinter's update notes on the other hand... some of the Developer's skill made me chuckle. Just as the UI changes :wink: 


    (a few players are still hoping the whole Legends announcement at TSW was also just an early-launched April Fool's joke, but sadly that was serious business - literally, since it's all about the money)

    April Fools Day emails are rolling in...
    Actually, didn't receive a single one. We just stuffed 'em all into one place, though if you'd prefer, we can make individual news articles for each one.

    Then again.......nah. No one would have anything to bi...kve...complain about if we only covered MMORPGs :D

    Thing about that is it would be a cool addition.

    Sadly, the complete nerf to all flying dinos in Ark does not seem to be a joke.  They are over 219 pages long now on the steam forum about it.

    Seems they removed all speed increases so all flyers only travel at base speed.  In addition, they nerfed the stamina so badly that most flying mounts now need to land every 60 seconds, including the quetz.

    Sometimes people take this to extreme. A friend of mine called me and told me he's been fired. He nagged a bit about his life and he was suddenly cut-off. I called him back but there was no answer. A few minutes back he called me again, but it wasn't him. It was some guy using his phone. He told me he was in a car accident and they are taking him to a hospital now. I rushed out of the office, calling his wife telling her about the accident. While I was on the way my friend called me again and told me the whole incident it was April Fool's crap. 

    So I told him how I called her wife and scared her half to death and what kind of an idiot he is for doing that. Half an hour later he called me again, telling me his wife is not answering and can't be find anywhere. I told him maybe she has left her phone in the hurry she was, and he should go to the hospital and find her there. So after awhile I called him again to ask how it all ended and if his wife has given him a good beating for what he did. He answered in tears, screaming over the phone cursing me for calling his wife. Apparently his wife was rushing to hospital and was hit by a motorbike. 

    Shocked by the news and how everything turned out, again I rushed out of my office to get to that cursed hospital at the end. Now the fate had to have her own twist because then it was my turn to get hit by a bus. Thank god there was an ambulance close-by and they drove me to the same hospital. But sadly, I died. What sucks the most is later I learned the whole thing with my friend's wife was also an April Fool's joke. And I died as a joke. I hate everything about this day!

    Yeah, "Stranger Things" has been done to death every year for April Fools Day. But seriously, I think a few were innovative this year.
