This is my last post on this because essentially the issue is your perception which includes the way you phrased "when they are sexualized" meaning even elves and pixies can be sexualized in your opinion to look like real life children just not 9 year olds. That is the problem here not the art.

Just wanted to let people know that TERA is super easy to get back into. If you played before and were thinking of getting back into it, the re-introduction program is very well done. I had a max level character but I hadn't played in a really long time. Within a day I was set up with dungeon ready gear and introduced to all the new features.
Game still strikes me as one of the best, despite it being so old. Graphics stand up to today's MMORPGs, combat is still one of the best in the genre, and there are Elins, which of course as everyone knows is a great thing.
So if you haven't played in awhile and are bored with what you got, I suggest giving it a whirl. Still free and still sporting the most fair f2p cash shop monetization model around.

Agreed, I was turned off by the new class announcement and have seen and heard nothing which entices me to go back.

No children are being molested in TERA, though. Not even Elins are being molested. And no children were molested in the creation of TERA, unlike say child pornography.

Yea, really, a large part of the point of the initial objection to the OP's comments that Elins were great was that a lot of players DID "leave it" and weren't coming back because of the Elins.

When Elin supporters tell people to "Love Elins or leave the game", they're basically confirming that Elins made a lot of people leave the game, which is what all the "Elin haters" were saying in the first place.

And just think, they could of easily made Popori's (spelling?) reapers and ninjas as well to get both male and female versions. But I suppose they were too lazy to take that into consideration.

Considering that they are basically related according to the lore. I would say it wouldn't be too much of a stretch for them to do that. Same with the other 2 classes. Well I never said race-restricted classes was a good thing. I'm just trying to explain some reasons why they might be so focused on Elins. Neither one of us can say whether it's laziness or lack of dev funds/manpower that forced race-restrictions, or if it was some other reason. I do know that TERA is 5 years old, not super popular, and was forced to go f2p, so I'm going to guess it's lack of funds/dev manpower. Or maybe they wanted to get people to try Elins in hopes that they grow to like playing them, and then would be more likely to shop for Elin outfits (of which there are way more than any other race on the cash shop).
Everyone has their own threshold about how much crap they can put up with an MMO, and everyone values race-restrictions differently. For some it's very important, and I get that.
But for me I already like playing Elins and I'm at a point in my MMORPG where it's practically a god-send I have an MMO I can log into, do some dungeons, progress and have fun in. Even if I didn't like playing Elins, I never have a problem playing any race or gender in an MMORPG, so for me whichever race they restricted any class I wanted to play would not be a problem.
Like I said, I totally get your argument and it's not ideal. But for me the combat and endgame content, which I can't find anywhere else, are more important than the game's shortcomings.
But honestly it would not surprise me at all if they release a third Elin-restricted class at some point. Gotta sell those schoolgirl outfits, man.
Keep in mind, they've maintained what I consider the most fair f2p cash shop monetization model in MMORPGs. Something has to give somewhere, and I'm glad, for my sake at least, the cash shop does not intrude on my gameplay in the slightest.
I actually just recently started playing this game. This game is a whole lot of fun. Really loving it. I played for 2 weeks and didn't put a cent into the game. I recently just got the Elite status because I really believe in supporting the developers. The combat and dungeon runs with my man are an absolutely blast! What a great game that slipped me by somehow. I am glad that I decided to try it out. It does not feel like an old game at all.
Waiting for the PS4 version this spring / summer, mainly because my current PC setup doesn't like the game for some reason. Once it launches, I'll definitely be giving it another try.

Every time i try to get back i'm reminded of the focus on Elin and *boobs everywhere* to the detriment of everything else (though i liked the art style on release), the dungeons which look like someone found out what the copy/paste functions do and the inclusion of minicars as "mounts".
