They have to do Wildporn to save them at this stage.

Or idk...hire people to fix the game you've already invested a lot of money in. Dumb idea, I know...OR WAIT! Wildstar Legends!

I suspect something like an Action RPG - MMO hybrid.

Wildstar is not among my main games, but wishing a Legends-ification to any game is just a mean and very low blow, even if it's just for the comic relief.

Wildstone sounds fun though, and nowadays every game (MMO or single) releases a card-game version, so it would fit into the line

I always feel like Carbine is this cousin of mine who means well but everything he tries ends up being mediocre and he loses money or gets disheartened and you want to help him out but then you know he will never grow into a person if you do so you watch him flounder and your heart breaks a little.

I don't think it's gonna be a MOBA because of MxM, but maybe something like what Funcom did with The Secret World.

Ok ok! So nobody actually is going to comment that this news shows anything but not a close up of Wildstar nor .. Carbine as a studio ?

I find this news very positive for the gender, for them. I must say that I had my doubts that Carbine will last longer then say .. 1 year after MxM will launch ( because Wildstar heroes ) .

Moreso , it seems they are actually working on a new game.

    Bravo !!

    Oh god, not another one!

    Probably right, though.

This is why the gaming industry sucks right now. First they want you pay them to make a game. Then they want to sell you pre-orders and founder packs. When the game actually releases, they just let it collapse and move on to the next project. Rinse and repeat.

Maybe we can get Elon Musk to make an MMORPG and get the government to give everyone $7500.00 to spend in the cash shop. Sounds like a plan to me.

I think they are going to start selling virtual spaceships, seems to be a big seller these days.

According to the job requirements, it probably has multiplayer action combat that is both fun and balanced, as well a rich and colorful art style with memorable characters and various different races and cultures.
    Sounds MMO-ish to me.

say what you want about wildstar. BUT they did know how to stoke the flames of the hype train. I really enjoyed their videos and vines. . shame the game did not really pan out.

That aside i think wildstar is a solid game just not appeasing many in the long run. Maybe they'll hit the mark next go?

It's the kind of thing that if done right could blow the industry open, in a good way, for both players, hobbyist DMs/content devs, and the professional industry.

That was Turbine's plan for AC and the private servers, unfortunately they weren't able to put it in production, but the idea was great, I praised it in several posts here too, back in the days...

(but the drop of the MMO component is just one of the smaller problems with the whole Legends issue, if that was the post's main theme)

I hope they just make a new raid for Wildstar sometime this year!

I love how all bash wildstar because it's not like every other MMO and the devolpers actually listen to their players. Maybe if ppl would have given the game a chance there would be more ppl playing. The active population in this game is great not half the morons in other games. Also sorry the devolpers made a game that was challenge for the simple minded.

LOL The game company that failed on WildStar?

Where are they getting the funding to hire People O.o?

I mean why have they not fixed Wild Star yet so many changes if they made the game more realistic Character Models and removed class system I would have played.

Sorry, but there was nothing challenging about staring at red and green half circles, trapezoids, and long rectangles on the ground around my character's feet during a fight. Or doing the typical quest hub grind of killing X of Y or gathering A amount of B item. If you were implying the dungeons, then no those weren't hard once you learned the dance dance revolution moves just like in every other dungeon in MMOs over the past 10 years. "Don't stand in the fire" can literally work in just about every MMO now a days. Don't get me wrong. The game has some great art design, setting, and housing but most of the mechanics or features are either poorly implemented or have been done to death in other MMOs.

this is probably the reason Carbine was waiting for to finally shut down Wildstar, a new game. I think it's almost safe to say we can expect the announcement soon.

You know...this reminds me of the April 1st joke Carbine did this year announcing Wildstar 2....maybe it wasn't a joke after all lol.
