Hi a question about FF11

hi im a n00b to this forum,i just signed up today..i usually post in www.aaotracker.com i play online FPS's Americas Army is the one im curently playing... anyway back to topicimage Do u have to pay money every month or so to play FF11 online?...image

    Yes, You do I think it is in the range of 12.95 a month. All MMORPG's have a monthly charge. When you buy the game you get 1 month free play which you can use to decide if you want to spend your money on it.

    Why would anyone play this game when there is game like Lineage 2 coming out?

    Yes because Lineage II will be all about PvP and FFXI isn't just about that. FFXI looks better then Lineage II. Lineage II isn't attracting all the FF fans that FFXI obviously is.

    Yes you pay by the month with credit card.  And you pay a small fee for each character you create... except the first one.

    Lineage 2 is better image.  I've played both.  FFXI graphics looks like playstation 2.   Both are very fun, if you're a FF fan FFXI is a game for u.  I know I am, and I love it.  But, I can't agree with u that it "looks better" than Lineage 2.  Lineage 2 looks 10 times better.  They are different kinds of mmorpg's though, and it depends on your taste.  FFXI is menu driven and  L2 is real time fighting.  FFXI isn't PvP... yet, L2 is all about PvP (if you want it to be, there's so many other things u can get into also).  Both games are great though.  And if yer a die hard Lineage 2 fan like me, FFXI is still an awesome game to play while we wait and wait and wait and wait and wait for them to "announce" US beta (before then end of Q4 2003... someone please remind NC Soft that Q4 2003 is almost over LOL).

    Eventualy FFXI will prob have some PvP elements but not as much as Lineage II, and I have to disagree with Lineage II looking better then FFXI, I played Lineage II korean Beta and I've watched other ppl play FFXI and FFXI looks better. But that's just my personal taste.

    why are u guys comparing lineage 2 to FFXI.... this topic is on FFXI --.-- anyways im playing the free trial and i think im gonna pay for FFXI its quite fun i got a CHOCOBO!! ^^ and im about to become a Samurai Mwahaha image

    PS: im in the Taiwan Closed Beta Of Lineage 2 and the Graphics dont compare to FFXI Lineage 2 graphics arnt that far off from FFXI's though..

    Man seriously I don't know how the hell anyone came to look at both games and convince themself that FFXI looks better. Taste? What taste? There is no taste. You see what you see... I don't know what that little repulsive thiggy I've seen the other times is, but that thinggy looked like straight from pokemon trying to buy grown up's attention or something. And what's with all that weird asexual looking characters?

    I'm gonna stop there because I don't even wanna compare these two games, because they simply don't get compared.

    PvP or non PvP, you make PvP sounds like some sort of your little sister's fairly tale, PvP in Lineage 2 isn't your teenage sister's fairly tale. It's virtual emulation of quasi-real life gang fight. You even slaughter your own brother and friends if they don't behave.

    PvP in L2 is The politics itself. You no longer are limited in slaughtering countless pop-ups of dumb, scripted monsters but real life thinking humans.
