So you saying Nioh wasn't good? Bah

Any sort of multiplayer to this? One of the most enjoyable factors in Darksouls is the invasion system and cooperation.

Looks interesting. I'll put it in my backlog. So many games, so little time. Good to be a gamer in 2017 :-)

With this game being so heavily influenced by Dark Souls i don't know what to think about the full price tag if it doesn't have similar online interactions. If it's 100% single player only then It will have to be a much much better and bigger single player game than Souls to justify the price.

    My personal opinion.

Nah that would be Bloodborne which was better than dark souls

This is going to be a really good game. Nioh was pretty dang good it self, but this one will have way more to it overall.

Can Bloodborne be an homage to Dark Souls if the same company made it? Wouldn't that be like being a cover band of your own songs? Hmm, my brain hurts now.

no Multiplayer?, how the fk are you comparing it to Dark Souls.

So I'm guessing you haven't played Nioh?

As for Surge, looks alright, and it's nice to have a sci-fi setting, but the lack of ranged weapons and what look like a lot of lock-in 'finisher' animations isn't good.

Nioh combat system is not like dark souls, its weapon system and leveling system is so limited and confining, you really cant enjoy the game until youve gotten deep into late game because of the combo system.

The definition of the word "Homage" doesn't say you can't.  Wasn't the original fallout a homage to the first Wasteland and developed by the same people?

    No.

Also I feel it's weird to use the word homage for something that was just made a few years ago.

Hate the multiplayer in Dark Souls. No idea why everyone is banging on about it...
I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.

Nothing wrong with it I love the invasion concept and calling others for help.

    Very good system.

??? It's a lot faster paced than Dark Souls (which isn't necessarily a bad thing), and yeah, it certainly gets better the higher level you are with more skills unlocked (again, not necessarily a bad thing), but I enjoyed it right from the start.

Nioh has a much more expansive weapon/magic/ability system than darksouls, and is incredible fun right from the start. Its the best game I have played this year.

I dunno, I'm just a sucker for this style of game. I loved the Souls games, Bloodborne, Lords of the Fallen, Salt and Sanctuary, Nioh, all of them have been great. They're not all equally great, but they're all great as far as action RPG's go.
