Guild Wars goes to China





NCSoft has signed a contract with Chinese company The9 to bring Guild Wars to China. The9 will provide services for Guild Wars for the next three years, and help NCSoft strengthen it's position in China even further.

NCSoft's CEO, Tack Jin Kim, had this to say about the agreement:
"The9
has a proven record of excellence in the Chinese market as a leading
online game operator. We are confident that through the partnership,
Guild Wars will receive great response from Chinese gamers and once
again raise the game's status in the global market."

Guild Wars
has been widely regarded by Western audiences and press as one of last
year's best online games. It not only won numerous awards, but was also
a commercial success with mainstream gamers, as playing Guild Wars requires no monthly fee.

    Boy, what a lucky break, a large asian themed guildwars and it comes out with the intro to Taiwan, Japan and China....hmmmmm :)

    Hmmm. I thought China got it a while back Begining of this year. I think I might be confused with Taiwan. Great, more competitive.

    beleive me when i say there not gonna enjoy it very much! chinese are known to be farmers/grinders and gw u can barely do that other then fissure armor!

    LOL , i hapan to live in china , and let me tell you one thing , you cant generalize 1.3 billion people , you just cant ...

    they are know to be farmers becose thet games they had were based on farming , give them a skill based game and they will rock . you can count on it ... i dont know if they will be good in pve or pvp , but i am almost sure it will have good number of good players

    PvP has gotten kinda easier with the Chinese players mixed in. Only because their new and most are doing pre-builds in the PvP arenas and such.

    there were players from Japan, China, and Taiwan before... but they were playing either in the Korean Servers... or the European Servers... and few are on American Servers.... but now that GW is released in mide Asia... they would probrably have their own servers...

    Yea that's what I was try to say. Thank for the add on. Ncsoft added those country such as China, Japan, or Taiwan to be dis. locally. So I think there's Japan server. Not sure, need to check the Guild Wars homepage.
