Is There a 3-D Street Fighter MMO?

Or something like it?  Where you can fight single player against anyone online, fight as a tag team, fight in pairs against another pair, or fight in trios against another trio, etc.?  Or where you could participate in a ten person battle royale?

No level, skill, or gear progression, but you could progress by ranking higher on the scoreboard for wins, losses, or perfects (win without losing any health).  Different scoreboards for each different type of match you could fight.  Maybe you would also progress and regress by entering a higher ranking category for matches by winning or losing a certain number of matches.

Does any game like that exist for PC online?  I don't mean for a video game console, but if there is one like that for a video game console, you could let me know that also.

No.  I'm actually interested in playing a game like this.  If this is the wrong section of the forum for it, I apologize.

Nope and i think getting the synch between players good enough while still retaining all the visual flair that people want these days would be hard in a MMO. Unless you use a instancing system to prevent to many people in one server. But that would defeat the point of making it a MMO.

This have been a good conversation

Instancing would be fine with me.  I don't want to wander around in a Street Fighter world, I just want to fight other people online in various ways.

There is Street Fighter V available on Steam ("PC and PS4 Cross-Platform Play"), but I don't know if it has all the options I'm talking about.

Decided to look it up after I posted this thread.

Even though I've never played the game, you might want to check out something like the Dragonball Xenoverse 2 game. I have a friend that says it's pretty awesome. About the closest thing I can think of.

Most fighting games, Street Fighter included, already let you fight others online, many with leaderboards.

Though I don't think any have tag team options.

Anything that does have co-op or tag team options tends to be in the P2W category and/or have a stupid (for a PvPer, at least) grind to it as well as something gear based.  Zone 4, Lost Saga, and Elsword, and a bunch of others I saw but were so lame that I didn't bother remembering their names, for example.

I have dabbled in fighting games since Virtua Fighter debuted in Japan (I was living there at the time).

Please don't take this as me trolling you, but the MMO in my sig plays similarly to a fighting game at times due to its physics. I even compared it to "Street Fighter in space" when writing about it a year ago:

Cool.  I've tried Vendetta.  Didn't like it.  Too much grind.  Same for C9.  Same for Tera.  Same for any action combat rpg I've played.  I liked Neverwinter best, but it's still a piece of warmed-over garbage.

Thanks for the other suggestions, people.

Btw, as for why I like the idea of a losses category on a ranking board:  it could reveal if anyone is cheating their way onto other categories of the leaderboard somehow.
