Shroud of the Avatar News - Portalarium has announced that it has inked a deal with Black Sun Game Publishing to bring Shroud of the Avatar to Russia and other CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) countries. According to Richard Garriott, Black Sun is an experienced team that understands its community and that it is ideally suited to the task of bringing SotA to the region.

    I don't see this game doing well in Russia. Seems that Korean mmo's fare better over there.

    I know there's a pretty big community for UO. I wonder if the new publisher is hoping to bank on that?

    One must be a psych ward patient to give up EU states to a Russian publisher. Not to mention how CIS is effectively a dead construct for a long time - for example usage of credit cards issued outside of Russian Federation is very problematic in RuFed, it's practically impossible to pay for a game content without Russian card.
