That Black Market is the coolest idea I've seen. Mobs drop items when players craft them.

As a crafter, I find that simply brilliant.

Black market is interesting. Is the intent to curb saturation of items in the market from drops by requiring player effort in creating them?

You can't buy equipment from npcs, etc. So mobs originally didn't drop any gear. To make it so there's more of a reason to kill monsters, they made it so when an item is crafted it's unlocked in the coding on a monster to be able to drop it now. So when someone in the game crafts something, mobs will have a chance to drop that item now.

When someone crafts something and sells it to the Black Market NPC, the item becomes available to drop from mobs.

If no one sells any helms -- for example -- to the Black Market NPC, then no helms will drop.
