Secret World Legends is the revamped, free-to-play version of The Secret World. While the beta is still under NDA, Funcom awesomely decided to let TheHiveLeader share some footage and give his impressions. Is it still as awesome as he remembers? Let's find out!

It seems like the legends form of the game probably should have been the way it released to begin with.
Hopefully the changes will breath new life into TSW.

#PATTERN = Console release coming soon.
These "updates" didn't warrant a new game. Stripping the MMO away doesn't do jack sh!# for legacy players either.
By all means though, everybody enjoy playing the same game minus the wonder and awe of the puzzles, riddles, and discovery for the first time, at the cost of playing with less people, having the same cruddy combat and animations but with a reticle instead of tab, oh yeah and more accessible, because that was totally an issue.
When is Amazon releasing info on New World?
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Thx dude, I wasn't sure if I had to redownload the game. Now I know. I wont waste my time if it didn't changed much.
"Accessibility" might be a decent summary... might, in case you stick to the one-word criteria. You can get more precision with two: "dumbed down".
Or, taking it from your previous video the One Piece, an even more precise summary with three: "lowest common denominator".
(Btw. that was a great video as well. Kid seems like a natural with games, I'm sure you can play Legends together after this easification Funcom just did.)

TSW has by far the best quest/mission quality and variety of any game ever created. It is also harder on peoples' eyes than any other game ever created.
Hmmm... Was planning on trying it out, but if it releases that late I'll probably forget about it lol.
I don't see what they are worried about to be honest. 90% of FF fans won't really be interested that much in this game and as for WoW... Tomb of Sargeras brings close to nothing. You have your class mounts which will take couple of hours and you have the raiding in the evening for the raid. Apart from that WoW remains the same and I don't see what Funcom are worried about.
The animations are equally bad as the first game. It's a shame how Age of Conan is so old and still to this day its animations wipe the floor with TSW (and now this game too). The new skill effects look better, but the combat is still the same, and that was my biggest problem with TSW.
I'll be waiting for launch to check it out. Lack of action combat was never the problem with this game although offering the option helps. Sloppy and poor animations were the problem, and by the looks of it they still are.
Indeed. It's FC finding solutions to problems that didn't exist. No one who was already loyally playing and enjoying the game was asking for any of this. People asked for improvements to the game and systems *we already had*. We wanted more content added on to the game *we already had*. No one was saying "gee, Funcom... maybe you should just rip out a lot of the game, streamline and dumb down a bunch of it, and call it a new game!"
This is FC simply moving to a wider, but shallower stream, in hopes of catching more fish.
Graphics are no better. Why are things taken out of character creation? My community was really looking at this as an opportunity to return to TSW full force. Now, no one wants to even bother.
I agree it seems to be a human pastime to shit on stuff before there is anything to actually shit on.
What? You think there's going to be some miraculous change in the next 31 days?
Some are already playing it.
There also seems to be a human pastime of wanting to live in the land of unicorns and rainbows instead of facing the obvious facts about things. If that was false we wouldn't see people gushing over what basically amounts to mouthpiece promises augmented with shiny orchestrated screensavers...like Pantheon for example.

Does look like they are primarily getting ready for consoles.
