150k players is low pop? lol That's more players than like... 99% of the MMO's?
Also, the pic was also one of the areas, the EU servers get as much full, and they had to roll in more servers for the Steam release that is currently peaking at 15K players online.

He says the game has population problem and I show him the server pop from yesterday showing all crowded and some overrun and he still does not believe it.
Until they get rid of things like no player to player trading, this game will not break its low population issues.
How do you make a game built around the idea that you can create a trade empire and allow no trading...they can make all the claims they want about killing gold trading companies but they actually killed the game instead while gold trading companies are still there offering power leveling and offering to get players end game items for them. There are entire guilds of decked out players being played by those companies that will take your character with their characters and get you boss items...
So, game still has them while having a low player base on top of it!
Open up player trading, keep the marketplace with FIXED selling amounts and you will keep the market prices down while opening the game up to more players...not to mention allow guilds to actually support their own people increasing that aspect of the game as well.
Player trading would absolutely destroy the game. It would open it up to multiaccounting, gold selling, and would exasperate the pay to win nature of the game. It's probably the absolutely worse thing they could do.
Also, the idea that BDO is low pop is nonsense. It's probably in the top 5 MMOs in player count.

LOL
I provide the search terms required to prove to him players are talking about the population problems and he ignores it and points again to a word by a server name that gives no indication of the population numbers.

"People who tell you youre awesome are useless. No, dangerous.
They are worse than useless because you want to believe them. They will defend you against critiques that are valid. 1 year into release.
Only 90,053 people at level 56 or higher....1 year, less than 100,000 people at end game across 40+ servers.
And before someone goes "oh but look, it says 1,838,575 adventurers!"
yeah, lets see. 13 allowed character slots which all starting players will have due to loyalty awards making the 90,053 at 56+ making up for over 1.1 million of them...
that 1.8 million adventurers only adds up to 183,857 accounts with 10 characters each and doesnt factor in those that stopped playing since release and that is still spread throughout 40+ servers.

I tried the striker for the weekend. I am very tempted to delete the character as I probably will never play one again. I just do not like the design one bit.
This MMO has a healthy population, anyone who said otherwise is misinformed. That being said, make PvE more fun and I'll return. I don't enjoy afking to progress crafts or skills, I don't enjoy grinding braindead mobs for hours and hours, and I don't enjoy trying the intense RNG and World Boss looting mechanics.
Now Playing: Bless / Summoners War Looking forward to: Crowfall / Lost Ark / Black Desert Mobile
