How long is it? Google is not my friend answering this.
The Campaign is reportedly 30hrs, not too bad IMHO.
Wow, cool. Also, is this free on console now? I haven't played since PC, but bought on console with intentions of restarting. Just wondering if my kids could also play without the physical game now.
I'll drop the cash for 30 hours.... once I get there again, lol. Do I have to buy all the DLC along the way too?

There's still a box fee on console as far as I know. No you don't have to buy any other DLC, those you can still get at any time, they are also still part of the sub, that's how I played them. Now that all content scales you can do any of it in any order from level 1-50.

Just what did you do in that one hour to make you feel like the Warden is OP?
Combat.
Ask a direct question get a direct answer I guess. lol
Not much else to say. Dive and Frost Cloak plus the bow from the starter box in my inventory and it's basically 1-2-1-2-dead. Level 3 and I'm taking out 3-4 mobs at a time without dying? Still wearing rags and I haven't even distributed CP yet.
The most boring class I've ever played in any MMO, hands down. The only way you could make this class exciting is if you stood there and let a mob beat up on you until you had 5% health left and then started fighting. Probably still win the fight. Sad..
Its the same with all classes, for example the templar's puncturing strikes is even stronger/more faceroll.
Precisely. Easy mobs are easy and even more so for any class that gets AOE and self heals early like the Templar and Warden. Even so I've seen lots of low level Wardens in Vvardenfell dying to a single river troll because they're not quite as easy as most mobs or in delves if they don't know to use AOE against packs.
When experienced players talk about a class being good or bad relative to other classes that's about performance in the highest difficulty content like vet dungeons or trials, or for DPS, performance against a target dummy. In that scenario no class can currently touch a fully geared magicka sorcerer and Wardens are toward the bottom of the pack.
But like I said in my thread, Wardens are noob friendly because of the early AOE for players who knows to prioritize AOE for regular solo questing and grinding.

Yeah that River Troll nearly got my low level Warden, luckily someone came and helped! There is actually a big difference in the strength of some mobs if you look around, one of the nice things about the game now.
Is everyone rolling a new warden? I'm thinking about rolling a breton templar but all my other classes are magicka based and I sort of want to try a viable stamina based class. So I'm still trying to sketch out the character concept.
Nope, I've never really warmed up to being a "Beastmaster".
If someone got creative and really thought about it, I'm sure they could come up with something that more players would be interested in.
I mean seriously, you have a pet that fights for you 24/7? Um, no.
I would expect a real "beast master" to have the ability to charm wild animals to do their bidding, sometimes successfully and sometimes not. Bring the possibility of the animal to break the charm and turn on you into the mix and it would at least be more interesting and challenging to play.

They're not too bad once you realize they can be interrupted when they start to regenerate health. That way you only have to damage their health once

Im not really feeling this so called expansion dubbed "chapter" by Zos. You basically get battlegrounds and warden for 40 bucks. It has the same content as orsinium that I got just for subbing 15 a month for. I feel like they just used the morrowind name and cashed in on the nostalgia, combine that with 45 bucks for mounts and up to 100 bucks for homes and it's clear what Zos is trying to do.
I have been enjoying the expansion and the Warden class. I cannot put my finger on it but it just feels....different but good different. I think its the most beautiful zone in game to date. I am digging the story too.
I know a lot of people think it is expensive or not a lot of content for the money, but the cost felt right to me.
If you like ESO before the expansion, you will like the expansion. If the cost is too rich for you, then just continue to play ESO and pick it up when you want.
The cost felt right to me but for a different reason without stretching the truth to call it an expansion nor using the new "chapter" invented term.
It's more like a DLC bundle.
If they hadn't changed their business model to add a type of DLC that is not included in the sub, can't be bought with crowns and is a bit pricier than previous DLC, they probably could have milked this into 2, maybe even 3 DLC: Vvardenfell definitely as one and the Warden + BG as another or split in two.
I mean, if Shadows of the Hist that just had 2 dungeons can be a DLC, then Battlegrounds probably could have been one also.
And yes, I'm enjoying it too.

Obviously that's a way to go. I have no problem with the whole "Beastmaster" thing but I've never been into that archetype. Same with Druids, never found that interesting. Nor rangers for that matter.
I suppose being one with nature isn't my thing.
I'm all in about being one with nature. But Warden isn't about that. If it was truly one with the nature, warden would be doing the bidding and the beasts could lay back and rest.

how does the Warden class work? also wasnt there two classes added?
what other features were added to the game in this expansion?
No other classes were added. Game also got battlegrounds (which are pretty crap). The warden is kind of like a hybrid tank/healer/mage; it has some nice looking frost/cold based skills, heals around a nature theme (little mushrooms/vines), and has a damage tree that does some ranged and aoe damage.
i got mine much cheaper.. but that is not the point... its way too expansive for what it is .. soooo many bugs. warden class is broken to hell... all of the quests+bosses+dungeons took me about 8 hours to finish. I did buy it and i did play it.. but is it worth the price they are asking ... HELL NO
