And within a month 17,900 will stop playing it as they discover the game is though graphical beautiful, a boring grind-fest...

So like 99% of the other MMOs, or 99,9% of the so called "AAA" MMOs? At least BD is cheap right now, unlike e.g. ESO, and it doesn't have a sub, unlike FF XIV.  Of course, there are games like BnS who are F2P, so BD still loses out..

This is not a Theme Park, this is a Sandbox game, you grind in game like you grind IRL, it is fun and the combat system make it even more fun

Graphical beautiful is a perfect way to put it. Art wise? The game is very bland and samey.

Paid a fiver for it and been enjoying it so far though the story seems a bit messed up but then I don't play these sort of games for the story.

Thought I could get in and comment before @SEANMCAD showed up to start trying to dominate the thread with his elitist/hipster/indie-snob raving but nope, guess I'm not quick enough.

    Another thread down the tubes.

BDO endgame is optional world pvp, or you can just kill stuff for loot

no raids or dungeons. Now arguably a ton of mmo players get bored of raids and dungeons pretty quickly after they repeat them a few times. MMO endgames ALWAYS focus on heavy repetition skinner box mechanics.

the strong part for BDO is no subscription. You just pay $10 or $30 (for some extra boosts) and you are set. That's substantially less than the expansion cost of most other successful mmo's.

It is IMPOSSIBLE to not get $10 of value out of BDO. BDO gives a great ROI.

Will it keep you hooked for as long as other MMO's? Maybe not but you pay a lot less for BDO.

If you dig world pvp you may love the endgame of BDO.

Crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and hear the lamentations of their women...

Good news for BDO.  Gotta remember that it isn't necessarily 170000 new players.  I imagine there are a few like myself, who bought a steam version cause I like my games in one place.

    That's right..I said... I like Steam.  Don't hate ;)

Ooo, I'll bet your not going to continue to post like you usually do just to prove me wrong.

Maybe I got in here on time after all.

Anyway, moving out of the toolbox and onto the thread...

All 17,900? That an amazing feat.

Personally I never liked the game much, but have played with some guildies lately and it's been fun...once you get a handle on all the discontinuous systems the game has.

It was $6.00. Even a second-rate clicker can be fun if you only paid $6.00 for it.

What grindfest just because you played it that way does not mean that that is how everyone else experienced the game. Love these generalizations.

Once they get leveled enough for the new areas you will see a lot of unplayed accounts.

I know. Last night I logged in and every server was crowded or overloaded. On a Tuesday night. Every single one.

Who wants to play lay a dead game like that?
