Barring any unexpected announcements, I’m basically writing off 2017 for Marvel Heroes as a year Gaz spends getting its console versions up and running. Whether you’re OK with that or not is up to you as a player, but it’s clear to me that anything substantial is going to have to wait until Gaz gets all its ducks in a row on the console side, and that means the start point for getting back to the business of things is likely in 2018.

    Uh-huuu

Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there, wondering, fearing, doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before.

Yeah as someone who has been playing MH since beta and spent money on various bundles, costumes, stash expansions, etc. pretty disappointed in the direction the game has taken lately.

I understand that business is business and they need to expand into the console market to keep things afloat. Still... disappointing. :(

In 2018 I hope to see new advanced pack to purchase - with more heroes and team-ups.

    Thank you for your time!

If you want to focus on leaderboards, make specific European and Asian servers available. Ye, never going to happen.

I haven't logged on for weeks, and don't plan to anytime soon. This company is completely screwed, IMO. It's not going to do well on console, and it's dying on PC. Average players are at the lowest they've been since launch. All my hype for the future of this game went poof after reading the content timeline.

It's funny that the article says, "Not having Angel playable is like having Thing, Sue, and Reed, but not Johnny. It’s just not right," but I believe that the Fantastic Four aren't on consoles at all.

It's one thing that all the focus is on consoles right now and PC players are getting the shaft, but they turned the game upside down and left it upside down.

My perspective is the skill and item changes needed to happen to really introduce new characters and expand the game, it was to much before. To much bloat, not enough actual content, such as Unique items, every new Hero having to also have multiple Uniques designed to fit into builds/etc, in a game with many more classes than Diablo. They were super easy to acquire, and then on the opposite end of the spectrum was all the crazy RNG things like pets, costume mods, supergroup emblems, ugh.

Streamlining hero skills and itemization was in my opinion definitely deserved priority one. The next is definitely getting in more repeatable, enjoyable, actual content. Danger room as the article mentioned, X-Defense, etc. Hell I wish even the PvP could be salvaged and revamped to be enjoyable on console. I even miss the old Limbo from the beginnings of Marvel Heroes, the whole Last Stand style, of dying and needing to be rezzed. X-Defense had potential, Holo-Sim was a complete disaster in my eyes. But I still miss the Limbo no respawning Last Stand type survival mode the best.

I know I'm in the super minority here, from what all I've read on forums and such, but I like the new direction. I honestly have more hope for the game now than I ever did, sadly. I was first drawn to it solely because of David Brevik because I grew up on Diablo 1 and 2. But I feel like it simply tried to cram Marvel Heroes into the same Diablo 1 and 2 framework. It didn't work. It was a horrible start, truly. Just like when he first said they'd never change the defenses into percentages on the forums, but they finally did. And finally there is no more punishers/hawkeyes rolling around 24/7 like Sonic the hedgehog, or me skating everywhere on Ironman, with Dashes finally getting charge counters.

The game is honestly finally looking and playing half-decent to me.
