According to local reports, game developer Pearl Abyss has started procedures to be listed on
KOSDAQ, a trading board of Korea Exchange (KRX) in its native South Korea. Its maiden game, Black Desert, is currently serviced in multiple regions worldwide with great results, and a mobile version is in development as well. It is still unknown how much valuation is the company gunning for.

They're still hoping (in vain) that someone will buy the publishing rights for BDO in Africa and the Middle East. Most other companies include those regions in their EU licenses, because the gamer population in those areas is too small to bother with separately.
Probably a bit of a stretch to launch an IPO on the strength of one game, but I suppose "strike while the iron is hot", as they say. There may never be a better time...
