hey, I have been out of the loop for some time, I have been so friggin busy. The thing is that I am trying to get a new laptop computer so I can play from time to time while I travel... Something that happens way too much now adays. Ok, I am going to be honest, I am going to be doing some truck driving and I have to move eventually to another state. I guess I am a casual lol.
I tried playing TESO and GW2, somehow they feel familiar because I played both of them at their own respective launches, I only own the vanilla games, no DLCs, no expansions, nothing! Only the base game. Unfortunately, it feels like without the HoT expansion, GW2 is incomplete and in TESO, I don't have access to any of the DLCs... So its the same feeling
I also played BDO, its a good game, but at some point it just devolved into a grindfest, or a daily reward collection simulator. BDO does have some nice features, elements and aesthetics but by the end, it feels a bit lacking.
At the same time I am waiting for the new version of The Secret World, but I haven't reinstalled the original. So I am in the dark with that one.
I know it is going to be really hard if not impossible to keep up with multiple games at once, but since I don't know the status of any of the games I used to love, I don't know which one should I stick with.
I am trying to figure out if I should get the GW2 expansion and stick with it for a while, go buy the new TESO expansion and DLCs and go crazy on that game in my free time, or simply wait for TSWL and hope for the best out of that game.... Any thoughts about this matter...?

It's a new expansion plus if you subscribe (as you should) you get all the DLCs free.
GW2 is also an option but ESO has some fresh content plus DLCs you never played.
All three are still good and popular games. If you like them but just want to pick one to support long term, whichever you choose is worth it. I cannot tell you to pick one if perhaps you were expecting me to say one of the other two. It is your own choice. I can safely tell you, all three are great mmos worth your time, if you like them.
As for TSW, i uninstalled it because its been years since the last time i played. I may or may not play TSWL when that launches.
If you don't love PvP then go with ESO. It's finally added some really needed features such as the ability to steal from houses and it's always been a pretty darn good title for a Themepark even if it's not much of an Elder Scrolls game.
If you don't love Themeparks then wait for a few years and see what becomes of titles like Star Citizen, Crowfall, and Chronicles of Elyria.

They're all B2P titles, so there's no harm in logging into all of them and seeing which one holds your interest. Just a matter of deciding which one gets tried first

Teso is EASILY the better complete package.
Unlike BS scores i see all the time from what i assume are people who know nothing about game design,i would rate GW2 a 3/10 and TESO a 6.5/10.
When i see numbers like 9+ i just laugh and feel nice job on the fanbois numbers.
A 9 is like saying a game can barely be improved which is total bullshit.Soon i see a 9 i know that person or website is not worthy of rating a game of Yahtzee let alone a complicated mmorpg.Unlike fanbois or websites with an agenda,i don't have ANYONE to cater to,so i can give my honest rating without any worry at all.If so needed i can even tell you where every single system can be improved and how an entire game design is NOT catering to it's title of being a mmorpg.
Even after all i have said, there is a different mentality in gamer on every street corner, just because a game is far better than another game doesn't mean everyone is going to like the better game,i simply rate games from a technical and thought process and not weather i think people will like it.
Point being, the OP might like GW2 better even though i think it is greatly inferior to TESO,my opinion doesn't really matter.A perfect example is there are a LOT of gamer's who care for nothing outside of pvp,so no matter an entire game is a 9.9/10,all they care about is the shallow pvp aspect,so you can easily understand why ratings or opinions don't matter,it ONLY matters to each individual.

Seems like you'd be better of trying something you never have before even if you were/are sure you won't like it

No idea... I left them all in my computer, I just let them update for hours... Well, not BDO.
That one, is one that does puzzle me, there seems to be a craze for BDO all over the net, but somehow I fire up my level 56 Sorceress and 10 minutes later, I end up logging out, feeling kinda empty.
Is there something I am missing in that game or something I should know? After getting my awakening the game feels like just grind for XP through mob wacking or dailies. Other than that, I melt 500 units of copper or chop some wood while I read the news about North Korea testing missiles or something like that.
That's the thing, I liked all of those games. I played so much GW2 back in the day when vanilla was the only thing, before the seasons and so on... The same goes with TESO and TSW.
I also played other games before moving and becoming a bit of an mmo outcast, like Star Trek Online, SWTOR and a few others that never left any impact on me at all, but non at all, to the point I don't even recall their names.
What's good about BDO?
Well it is a sort of weird sandbox, you can't really say it is a real sandbox because it ain't but it feels like it.
There are tons of side activities beside Combat which are mini games on their own so it is difficult to get bored in BDO because you can do a turn over with the different features it offers, so when you get bored with something you do something else.
Most people judge BDO because of the Combat, they don't play the side activities.
If you are only interested in Combat maybe you'll find BDO boring.
Basically all you need to buy from the cash shop to be able to play comfortably is 3 Pets for looting fast, that's it.
If you are interested I made a guide few months ago.
