This one frase tells me one thing
You'd had a troublesome childhood,probably you had a violent dad.Your only light in your daily routine was REH¨'s Conan the barbarian,and now you see that FC break your hearth not following his book's exactly word's by word's

I know that I am probably feeding the Troll by replying. But come on! The game is still in Alpha, and it is based on the Conan universe, it is not a literal iterpretation of every REH book.
Until you have tried this game you don't have the right to spout out misinformed and misleading information.
Hyborianhero; You are a lost case. For the love of god, just ignore the game rather than than trying to pull it down in the mud with your extremely narrowminded and misinformed head. You take everything in such a literal sense of the word, that I'm close to believing you are stuck in your childhood. And don't run around talking about things you don't know anything about.
So please, follow your advice, run from this game. We don't want people like you in it, period.

So curious this is! Make a remark about FC fanboyz and they come out of the woodwork to defend a game that is even now, lying about it's content and intentions!
Anyone who knows diddly squat about Conan will know this game is a horrible attempt at ripping off the Conan name!
I bet those of you posting aren't even Conan fans, but AO and FC fans.
Because if you considered yourself a Conan fan you'd have seen the dozens of red flags popping up all around you!
This game is being made by FunCom. They don't exactly have a great record of success. And it is simple to see why, when they destroy such a sure thing as a game based on Conan.
Even the people on the Age of Conan boards are saying it's not looking or sounding good! That classes and races make no sense and restrictions and forced guilding and no crafting unless your in a guild is making the game sound horrible.
This from the games own site! So how can you come here and say you can't have a thought on it yet?

HyborianHero is out-numbered 100/1, but thinks if he says the same thing over and over it will become relevant... it isn't, and it won't. Please feel free to post the exact same thing again though, it's hillarious at the very least.
It sounds like you'd have more fun with a Conan coloring book in which you would NEVER COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES, rather than playing a Conan mmorpg that has to take a little creative license in order to create an enjoyable and balanced gaming environment. Remember, its a game. Not a documentary about Conan.
I'm on the Conan boards too, and while most people are positive about the game there, I'm also not convinced of the guilding direction they are currently taking. But the difference between you and me is that the game still looks solid and its much much much to early to say the sky is falling.

The game looks great and for the most part I love the ideas and the looks but yeah somethings are questionable. In anycase you don't know anything untill it is here.
But please don't assume that you speak for every fan when you go on your next fantical "doomsaying" spree because I assure you that you don't. Unity isn't one guy hiding his opinion behind the masses it's multiple individuals speaking their minds with eachother.

The game isn't slightly wrong with Conan's world it is a total disgrace to the Conan name! Did you do what I told you and read the Age of Conan site? If you had you would know I am truth here. Your mindless and reflex aplogies mode for FC says it all!
I like how noone said they were Conan fan when I asked. Just trolled more to try and hide the truth. But you cannot hide it! And more and more will be known, and this game will be in bargin bin, quickly.

I'm done with you. The biggest fanboi in this thread is calling everyone else fanbois. The fact that you aren't mentally able to comprehend the irony there says allot about you, and pointing it out won't make sense to you, but I'm not going to even try to explain. This has now spiraled into name-calling, in it I'm not innocent. Keeping my wit sharp is important, and HH seemed a good target, now it just feels like I'm kicking a puppy.

HyborianHero isn't a fan, a fan would never risk to ruin the game for himself by judging the way funcom is evolving the universe before he has his hands on the finished product.
I've been looking forward to AoC for awhile now as I am a fan of REH.
Instead of telling people to boycott the game, why not try to get them to change it to what its supposed to be? if all the people who hate the way they are taking the game, then get those people to help make it better. if you were a true fan of REH or Conan, thats what you should be doing - not telling people to stay away from it.

Noone cares if they dont stay true to the story.. and how can you say this is guild wars and wow mixed together.. im pretty sure the combat system is going to be way different than both those games..im also pretty sure that neither of those games have a branched class system. I further dont recall being able to claim land and build cities in either of those games.. I think i remember guild wars in the end being skill based? Did either of those games start out with a 100% single player game?

This game is very tempting, despite its not holding the tradition of Conan Lore.
But still going to try it out, I never had any problems with Funcom games and look
forward to seeing there vision.
Anything beats cartoons these days in mmorpgs.
