Sea of Thieves News - During today's Microsoft E3 press conference, Rare announced that Sea of Thieves will finally be ready to set sail in early 2018. It will be available for both PC Windows 10 and XBox One.

    Forced grouping to play larger ships.  How is that appealing?  You assume I have TIME to get all my friends together to play.

    The fighting looks so bad. I was not expecting much from combat in this game but it looks incredibly dull.

    This is one of my most anticipated of 2018, still not sure whether to get the Xbox One version or the Win10 version... As @slapshot1188 says, hopefully it is both!


    The world is going to the dogs, which is just how I planned it!

    By the time this comes out in a year or so, there will likely be a Steam version too that doesn't require you to have Win 10, i doubt they would limit distribution of the game to only 1/5th of the PC market. ;)

    I am interested in this game but for some reason thought this was going to be limited to consoles. Glad it's coming to PC!

    There is a thingy in Win10 that makes porting a game from Win10 to Xbox One and vice versa (relatively) easy. It does not exist in older versions of Windows. And, Win 7 is 9 years old, I doubt MS has plans to support it much longer - they already quit supporting XP and Vista. And, Vista is only two years older than 7. There are a number of reasons they gave away 10 for over a year if you already had 7 or 8; this is one of them.

    This to me is a hold me over while I wait for a real game to come out and be finished. Don't get me wrong I love pirates games but I don't see me dedicating a lot of time to it when there are better things to play.
