Works as a charm for me. No problem, no lag, no crashes. But its the same bloody game:)
Yeah, looks like that but its now Item Shop reliant.... lookign right off that to progress you will need to pump money into the game (unlike the original version). But one will see what happens soon i guess.
How do you even see the item shop? I looked for it and couldnt find it.
for me i told it to transfer yesterday, downloaded and installed, logged in, no chars, option to make 3 new ones, click on it only to be told i can not make any more in that demension only to have no option to go to another...
anyway, I can not see an option to get the old secret world, they seem to have barried it.
Guess i will have to wait on them to fix this stuff, just another game launch....
=================================
Edit:
Oh i can make another char, just had to wait for 15 minutes in the launcher for it to work...i forgot about how qwerky TSW was, now its comming back to me lol
You need to progress your Story mission until you reach Agarta for the first time. Then you can claim your login rewards and items from the TSW transfer.
It has always worked this way, even in the original TSW. There you had to even arrive in Kingsmouth first, before you could claim items.
Your transfer rewards appear to only apply to one character but before most were account wide with some only going to one character. I hope they fix this.

Actually that's not true. You just have to transfer it on each character after getting to Agartha.

That seems to be confusing a lot of people. Ironic when you consider that the "until you get to Agartha" expansion of the available menu is presumably there to not confuse lowbees with too many options
I'm just happy to get all my weapons unlocked with the transfer as well as all the items I had previously unlocked when I played it last 4 years ago... including my Harry Dresden styled leather duster.

Thanks for the correction, I'll have to take a second look the next time I play. Or when the maintenance is done. :-)

To be fair, the menu lock doesn't tell you anything but "This feature will be available after getting further in the story" . Or something like that. It doesn't specify Agartha.
Well I hit level 17 tonight and all of a sudden I've started getting tons of those locked Argatha caches dropping from random mobs - 10 or so in just a couple of hours.
Is this the way they're dropping for everyone else or is this a byproduct of today's patch? It seems a bit over the top even for a F2P game.

10 caches in a couple of hours is nothing. Try play one of PWE / Cryptic games these days. ;-)
....but it's annoying nonetheless. This casino crap really is killing the MMO genre where monetization has gone way too far now.

In beta they started dropping at lvl 1, in headstart they don't start dropping until you hit lvl 15.
You do get quite a few of them, I'm 27 and I've had ~40 drop so far.
It may seem annoying but remember you can vendor them for a bit of anima and so far I haven't hit a stack limit so it's only taking one inv spot.

If they weren't so plentiful I guess we could also list them in the AH for others to open but I'm guessing they don't go for much there (can't check since the AH is currently disabled.)
It's also a bit annoying because regular drops are such crap for the most part. I've had hundreds of green MkI drops and 1 blue MkII assault rifle drop for me.
But like you say, at least they stack... that's something lol.

Which is killing the game for me to be honest. In TSW you at least had faction vendors in each zone, where you could buy decent gear, but in SWL they have all been removed I have seen.
I'll think I will sit this out for a while until they address this. One of the fun aspects of an MMO is developing your character, getting better gear, especially when going through a lot of effort running dungeons!
It's an utter shame that the TSW servers are dead, since TSW is a way better and more fun game (except Tokyo) than this monstrosity, where they have monetized every inch in the game!
I understand they need to make money, but this is not the way to do it! They have gone too far! Even PWE / Cryptic's games are not this bad and that is saying something /shrug

Yeah.
I have to admit that a lot of the enjoyment went out of it once I realized that the random drops you get when questing are either the crappiest greens or lock boxes.
I did Polaris once in hopes of finally getting a blue or purple quality weapon worth enhancing just to get a pile of weapon power-up items and nothing else. Very disappointing.
I can see them having a mix of lock boxes drop if that's one of the ways they chose to monetize, but they also need a better loot table to make the questing and leveling feel more rewarding and balanced.
I can't see myself sticking around in this when even as a patron they only give you one cache unlock key per day and you could easily get 20 or 30 cache drops per day the way they have it set-up now.
The itemization just feels way off.

I agree, it's a shame indeed.
Don't get the second part though, Cryptic is not that bad... CO has the same level of freedom with character building as TSW had, and STO's crafting was just as flexible as TSW's assembling (too bad they had a crafting revamp not long ago).
This gear "enchanting" crap is more like originated in SK grinder cashgrabs - which is very much what Legends is aiming for, anyways.

Update after about another dozen tries, uninstalling and reinstalling I was able to finally get everything sorted out and link my accounts!

So I am really wondering how in earth you can get better stuff now? Only via the Cash Shop now? Paying real cash? Through these stupid lock boxes?
As I have read that even dungeons are pointless to run in SWL, since they only drop crap too now :-/
