Perhaps has a definitive max load capacity,so perhaps also using que ues?

I can use a similar example from long ago with Silkroad online.RMT had autoload programs in place so that as soon as the servers went live/on their bots would autoload and completely fill all servers within minutes. The vendor "Joymax" would periodically shutdown servers and reboot but as i said did not do a single thing because they would auto load right back in.
As to the max capacity and que ues, this could definitely be the case if some new expansion is released as the floodgates then usually go haywire with new and returnee players.

You should look up Chinese labor laws, it wasn't a ten-year-old that made the phone, but most likely someone a bit older, probably 20's and they were very happy to have said job. Now if you want a real poignant declaration to use, try the same analogy but use rare earth metals (required to make said phone) and a 10 yr old African child. That is where the real exploitation of globalization is happening.

As far as Steam numbers, that is pretty impressive.

If you want a new idea, go read an old book.

In order to be insulted, I must first value your opinion.

I find it interesting, but apparently it's not edgy hipster enough for you. Whatever. Move along.

I'm sure you have a million other non-mainstream things to preach about from your self-aggrandizing soapbox. No need to waste time here.

EDIT: I thought I was on your ignore list. You suck at ignoring people.

That's what I thought as well. 13M is a pretty impressive number.

I play mostly at odd hours so to see the two numbers the same is unusual.

    Bingo

on a side note, anyone remember Overwatch launch when steam total numbers went down by millions?

Valve is not a big fan of Blizzard
AND when a platform is growing year over year as much as Gabe says it is, getting online during peak play I would think is not uncommon. What I dont know however is it peak play number a number of peak ever, peak that week, peak that day?
