I think it came out in 2011 but I didn't discover it until 2015. Can't stop playing it.

Never played a Warhammer game, pretty good series, i just never had time.Plus the cost+++was too steep imo but i guess considering how many bad games are out there ,it really isn't that bad.Steam sale right now for around 27 bucks.

The first thing that comes to mind is competitive FPS games. I've played Boarderlands and loved it. I have even played through the campaigns of several Halo games, but Overwatch changed my whole perspective on FPS gaming. As a result, there is a whole new world of games for me to try.
However, barring whole genres I would have to say Path of Exile is something I feel I've missed the boat on. I just started playing it this year, and it is fantastic. It definitely feels like a spiritual successor to D2 with it's gritty atmosphere and complex/unforgiving skill tree.
My experience with a lot of games is that they fall short, by a long way, of what they are supposed to offer. It makes me very wary of paying the full price of any game, so I usually wait for sales.
Also, I was hooked on MMORPGs for a solid 6 years, during which I barely played any other type of games (the exception being local splitscreen games with friends, but that was still mostly N64). So, from 2007-2012 I missed everything else. When I quit MMOs i did go back and tried to play the big blockbusters that everyone raved about.
So, got the Bioshock series, Dragon Age, Mass Effect, Witcher etc....didn't like any of them! I was both late to the party AND didn't enjoy it. I think the depth, complexity and longevity of MMORPGs has kinda ruined a lot of genres for me lol. I only seem to be able to enjoy genres that are far removed from MMOs - RTS's, racing games, the occasional platformer, building/sim games.
Latest purchase during Steam summer sale - Project CARS. I remember there being a lot of hype around the game and it got great reviews. Haven't played it yet but looking forwards to it!
Aloha Mr Hand !
Oh boy this game is so much fun! Community is nice and fun to play with too.
For me it was probably Far Cry 4. Played Far Cry Primal, like it so thought i would play the previous game in the series, wasn't disappointed.
