BloodwrathBloodwrath Member Posts: 10

Hi everyone i would like to ask

if u had guildwars and world of warcraft

would u consider getting GW:F or WOW:BC ?

if you only had the money to get either one

which would u choose to expend your game?

it really hard to make a choice as both games are great to me

LoL that super easy... since you won't be able to play WoW for probably took weeks after BC comes out due to lag and downtime go with factions!!

I say to Blizzard "You want me to pay a monthly fee AND pay for updates!?"

They must be laughing all the way to the bank. Factions for me. Ditched my WoW account a few months ago due to the leck of solo end game stuff, so I am completely biased I'm afraid.

No contest! GW:F is a whole new game experience, with a whole new full storyline, improved graphics and 2 completely NEW character classes. WoW:BC has 10 extra levels (which will take as long as, and feel even more grindy than, the first 60 most likely) with a bit of extra content, NO NEW classes, and 2 new "skins" to play in...that's it! ((And you have to pay for the box and the 10 months it'll take to get your 5, or so, max level characters to level 70, where they can continue to grind PvP or PvE for the new armor that level 70s need to be even remotely competitive as a raider or in PvP --- Thank you Blizz, here have another $250)). Not that I think Blizz or WoW is bad...just...

Guild Wars: Factions wins HANDS DOWN!! (IMHO)

    Guild Wars: Factions FTW!
I would choose it because after the beta weekend I got hooked on alliance battles...also I like the style and graphics of guild wars better.
    And no monthly fees!

Not an update bro.....you may want to check your definitions on an update and an expansion. I actually have both games.........and GW has to be free.........cause I would rather pay to play WOW than play GW for free. If GW charged a monthly.........the player base would be cut in half :/.

Not to bash GW........its great for no monthly. Good graphics, etc etc. IMO really boring though. I play it on Tuesday when the wow servers are down to patch .

this post fits here too ...

im going to try to explain what is a skill build and a team build, and why guildwars is better then wow.

a team build is a combination of skill builds , from 2 person to 8 ( will be 12 in factions )

a skill build is a combination of 8 skills from each person

with a good team build , you get a power that a group of good skill builds cant get

i mean you can have a really good personal skill build , put 8 of that in a team and they cant beat a good combination of skill builds team ,skills that combine with the other player diferent skills.

skills of same or diferent profession , with same or diferent atrribute setings.

becose one player cant be super powerfull in all skill kinds , in each profession he can only be super powerfull in one out of 4 or 5 attributes/skills kinds. but that doesnt mean a team of super powerfull in each ind will win , anything is possible.

all skills work diferently when aplyed with others.

with factions about 900 skills , 8 professions , first and secondary profession , 8 skills bar cap. 8 people per team. builds os 64 skills , 8 each person combining skills , targets and locations

its not hard to see why voice chat is a requirement.

all this is impossible without human relations

and this is not just for pvp , all the game is based on this , sure you can solo most of it with the robot henchys , but you will miss the learning from the other people experience , their builds , the way your skill build can work with others. this is where build wars is fun , to match your skill build with others skill builds , professions , atrributes , runes , all make that makes chars diferent and with possible diferent kind of powers.

what wow brings that guildwars doesnt have , really doesnt fit in a game where combining skill builds is the major factor of power and fun.

i agree guildwars doesnt have much of open areas where you can just walk around and chill out . could have more of that , i vote yes . all the rest i prefer guildwars game play.

HAHA  Guildwars isnt even an MMORPG, it should not even be listed on this site!

Its a massive chatroom with good graphics!

WoW takes the cake all the way - and the only reason people say guildwars is better then WoW is because they cant afford the monthly fee, or they would be playing WoW

But I am happy that guild wars exists though... it cleans the community out for REAL mmorpgs -- kids with out jobs dont play WoW or any other MMORPG for that matter :P   so Yay for GW!

Well Tatsit, with an attitude like that, I'm sure your game will be a real winner, I expect to be playing it soon.

Anyways. Regarding GW:F and WoW:BC, first of all, Burning Crusade won't be out for a few more months I imagine. They haven't even released the identify of the 2nd new race, so you got lots of time to earn more money for it.

Secondly, Factions is not an expansion, it's a whole game playable all by itself with a full game's worth of content. It just happens that both games merge together, which imo gives more value. The Burning Crusade, while it might be fun, is after all only an expansion, so you will probably get far more content with Factions.

As with the majority of other people in the post, I say get Factions. It's better as far as game additions go, and honestly Burning Crusade is probably still a long way off (in gamer terms).

    Agreed!

In anycase if you want to play a reall MMO go with say WoW or EQ2. For the most part you should go with BC because despite blizzards down falls WoW is still sadly the best. But by the time BC is out there will be a ton more options. I am just waiting for now and saving $15 a month until then.
