Perhaps an unlikely duo, Wargaming’s World of Warships is about to get a heaping dose of Anime Injection via High School Fleet, a popular naval-based anime that’s perfectly suited to crossing over with the action of Warships.     I do not play the game, but I have to give them props for doing something creative. However this wouldnt seem to appeal to the base fan base.

    I know Girls und Panzer is pretty popular with many World of Tanks players. There's probably some crossover for World of Warships as well. Heck, a couple years ago there was a permanent 'My Little Pony' thread in the Off-Topic forums for World of Tanks, where people would talk about what happened in the latest episode. I think there was even a Clan for 'bronies'.

    This type of crap is what made me stop playing nay title that wargaming makes. played world of tanks since 2010, always bought new tanks and premium time to play. I got into the games because it was semi realistic world war 2 tanks, planes, and ships. Now they are ruining that and making the game appealing to sexual predators that like to see little girls in school outfits.

    I really wish a non moron company would make a decent world war 2 tank game.

    You are correct Girls Und Panzer is quite popular with the WoT crowd. Also, yes there are a number of MLP Clans, I was a member of ERAD before I started my own MLP Clan.

    An art style has absolutely nothing to do with FUN,so what is this exactly?
    To me it is a helluva dumb idea,ill come right out and say it,it is retarded.
    Whatever immersion the game is entirely lost.

    Popular?Well with so many weird people running around and i see it everyday,anything could have a popularity base.Meth is a popular drug now a days,i would not go around bragging about how popular it is.Point being that popularity means nothing and could actually be bad.

    The idea itself,i try to put myself in their shoes,thinking business wise and still makes absolutely no sense,so i'll have to chalk it up to some weirdos work at Wargaming.
    I tried their games,they need a LOT of work,like real effort type work adding a ton of depth to their games.So going this route makes even less sense,you have a base of some what serious/competitive warfare gamer's and you want to turn it into an anime cartoon playhouse?

    Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.

    There is an option to not see the anime skinned ships in game. Just saying....

    That's quite possibly one of the most idiotic, disgusting, and ignorant things I've ever read here. You've obviously never watched the anime, or even looked it up on Wikipedia. The focus of Girls und Panzer and High School fleet is the battles, namely the capabilities of the vehicles involved and the tactics used during said battles. But please, don't let those pesky little things called facts get in the way of your highly ignorant ranting and baseless assertions.

    There actually is another really good WW2 tank game out there, but quite frankly nether myself nor anyone else who plays it (that I know of) wants or needs somebody like you sullying the community with your presence.
