I want a game

MUSTS

atleast 85.7 % of the game is playerbase economy

Has Entertainers like dancers and musicians

awesome crafting system that takes skill and as long as a grind as a regular combat profession takes.

DIVERSITY dont want cookie cutter skill base i want it where u pick your skills by after a certain amount of xp like how swg use to be back in the day.

must have a great character customization...WOW is a good game but to cartoony

WANTS

a lot of professions....mostly combat but also the crafting and entertaining ones as well.

easier to get money then how it is on WOW

easy to get into but takes a good amount of time to complete it

a mature playerbase..none of that "you know why chuck norris is cooler then you" no why? "because he likes mcdonalds" makes no sense wat so ever...and makes me want to urinate in the guys mouth and watch him gargle it when he says that.

GAMES I HAVE PLAYED SO DONT LIST EM!

1. SWG....SOE ruined it

2. EVE.....GAY just have a ship very repetive

3. WOW...currently playing and fun but a lot of immature dudes

4. EQ2...for some reason it is the worst out of the 4 very dull dont know why

SWG pre CU. Sorry, but that's the game you described and the only thing that comes close and it doesn't exist anymore. Move along.

agreed, the only thing that comes close is either EVE Online (wich has a very sucky skill system) or ATITD2 wich misses any kind of combat (but the crafting is really skill based :P)

I recommend you to look up www.uo.com and uo.stratics.com, try to play Ultima Online. It has all you want, and if you don't want to pay for playing on the official servers you could look up UOgateway to play on one of the hundred freeshards. Enjoy and welcome to Sosaria.

many people include myself have posted similar threads.

The truth is, once the freshness of MMO is gone for us, we started to cool down and look closer and think again "is this really fun?". Turn out to be, most MMO weren't fun in the first place. Grinding grinding grinding more mindlessly meaning grinding is what most MMO have as their main part of gameplay. It's getting way too repeative, and is sickening me.

Yet it doesn't seem like any company is making something new/revolutionary. Their minds are trapped in the same old crap. Thx to hardcore grinders, and fairly new but really just a copycat WOW made it look like mindlessly grinding still can corner the market, in the near futher I don't see a reason for any company to make anything different. They'll only make small changes here and there while remain the same in the bigger picture.

Lets just go hibernation for 20 years, and maybe by then there will be something fun...

Try SWG again when they add in the diversification stuff.  First round of it should happen in 2-3months and it'll allow you to pick new skills as you level up to add onto your core skills (kinda like the old days, heh)

There's a new one of these posts every couple of hours. And it's always someone describing the game they want. Then this guy says he wants a mature player base, and in a previous sentence describes a game using the word "gay". If you want to find a new game, search the million posts on this board about MMOs. Then do some of your own research. No one can tell you how you will like a game.

Yes, there are a lot of posts around here. However, I find that this kind realy sometimes takes people asking his specific question with what he wants. For example, ask for a good pvp game you will get a lot of answers. You could get something such as Lineage II, but than you could get someone sugesting EVE Online. They both have great pvp, but its incredibly different pvp.

Mostly, these kind of deals help (making your own thread) because you can ask questions afterwards, instead of ganking someone else's thread.
