The Korean version of TERA has a pair of new characters in the game in the form of the Elin Gunner and the Male Brawler. These two are out on KR servers, though there is no word when they might arrive in the NA / EU version of the game.     I know that my BF wanted to play a Male Gunner rather than a Brawler, but I have heard that Brawlers were another popular choice among players that wanted to play a male character. Either way, it allows more options for those that dislike the gender lock.

    Dang, I might play again for the male brawler, at least for a little bit. Brawler is pretty fun. I liked how relaxing gunner was too. I would've mained it if it was male.

    Well gunner isn't elin only, Elf and cast were the only ones that could play gunner originally (cause the devs are cheap).

    TERA pvp was great, I wonder why isn't the game as popular as it used to be.

    After I played Tera for a week I had to stop. Because I began do develop a condition which forced me to agree with some statements of Anita Sarkeesian for fuck's sake.
    But then again. My MMORPG affliction was forged in Ultima, Everquest and Anarchy. So I just don't get that game design and style, I think. And boy oh boy gender lock is a blight.

    While I'm not surprised they will make gunner available to the Elin Master Race it's nice to see them have one of the newer classes, Brawler, not being gender locked anymore.

    It's not; the developer is Bluehole. The publisher for TERA (NA) is En Masse, and Gameforge (EU).

    Just be thankful they didn't make the brawler Elin as well... The Elin Master Race rules over in Korea. < Face Palm>

    It was some time last year when Nexon KR merged with Blueholes Korean publishing arm, i don't recall the exact details, but here's a Reddit post about it:

    I remember this news was revealed along with the large content release that hasn't slowed down since Nexon stepped in to help out financially.

    Ehhhh, sounds interesting but then I remember that TERA's encounters are very very uninspired and boring.
