Runescape Question

AJIceAJIce Member Posts: 148
What is there to do in Runescape after you have completed all the missions and have full rune?  Just level?  Is it worth it?  (I know many people dislike the agme, but it seems like almost everyone who plays MMORPGs has played Runescape at some point, so I trust that this forum has an experienced populous.)

Quit the game, you are now a 1337! (^^)
Try to play something else! Is runescape all you play? If not, I recomend something like L2! The game is hard and requires much from you!
There isn't much I can say, since I'm only level, like 20, in runescape.. I found the graphics very boring and the game itself the same..

    I play Lineage2!!!!

They have goblins wandering aimlessly in an endless assault so that you can kill them - until you're ready for the spiders! But last time I played, Runescape was far tougher on those who died than what is becoming the norm, which could have helped the game somewhat.

I'm a roleplayer, so I tire easily of any game where it is clear that everybody are nothing but grinders, powerlevelers and semi-griefers (folw me, i sho u somthin * walks into PvP area if you follow * ). The quests are dull, the players are often only interested in working the dull aspects of the game (which constitutes such a large part of the game that one could hardly blame them, unless one blames them for playing to begin with).

If you found the way up interesting, or liked doing quests, then maybe, just maybe (if you do also have a lot of time, or patience) World of Warcraft will be your friend. You'll have prettier graphics, get to start from the bottom of the grind, need to gather buddies to be allowed even to try several dungeons - but there are many people who play this game and like it. If you have the option of a trial, maybe.

If you want something better than Runescape, try Eve. It's a different brand of game entirely, but if you don't let that scare you, you'll be in for the kind of challenge that is meaningful from the first day of play, and remains interesting until all servers go bust sometime around AD 3028.

I would assume L2 to be Lineage 2?

And... Shadowbane, currently COMPLETELY free - in FULL version - if you want to.

    The future: Adellion
Common flaw in MMORPGs: The ability to die casually
Advantages of Adellion: Dynamic world (affected by its inhabitants)
Player-driven world (beasts won't be an endless supply of mighty swords, gold will come from mines, not dragonly dens)
Player-driven world (Leadership is the privilege of a player, not an npc)

well, considering your post you're a free player, so maybe upgrade to members (5 euros a month). You will get more content, quests, skills etc... Then you could try to get full Grind *cough* i mean full dragon, or that grinding hat, oops i mean party hat.

Now if you are in for some better advice, go play a better game! As you see on MMORPG.com theres many different and alot better games to play than runescape. Trust me, i've played runescape for 2 years, found out there are other games and now see that runescape is just a waste of time (and thats said in the most posetive way i could think ofimage)

    dont listen to these fools...

once u got full rune (lol u n00b u think full rune is good) but anyways start looking for a clan.. runescape has got the best clan system out of all mmo's

go into wilderness (deep wildy) u stand around for 10 munuites ur bound to find 200 level 100+'s running round

in runescape clans have huuuuge battles.. beleive me! i was in the #1 clan for 8 months.. greatest times ever.. just the graphics sucked so i quit ;)

Wow! You played runescape? You use correct grammar and punctuation, you clearly didn't play it for long.

everyone is intitled to their own opinion but the dude dint ask u the flame this topic

to be honest with u i plat runescape and i like it but i also alternate between other games too so i dont get bored(my pc has lots and lots of memory)

so to all those people who played runescape and disliked is because u people dont know how to use google or just stay on one game and then get bored of it and start flamming about it in forums

The first time I played the game was April 2003. I tried to compare it with other games and the graphics aren't that great. 2d, with players scamming you over and over. You can find alot of Noobs there. There was actually this one character that fooled me and led me to a level 5 PvP area in world 55 Chicago. He took my ammys and ran off with all of my stuff. The quests aren't that intresting, you only get to go to a few maps. Varrock, Fallador, Draynor, etc. It gets boring after a while, there's not much thrill. I'm not saying it's not okay or anything. I mean, you should try other games. I think you're already a great player at Runscape judging from what I read. But other games can be a blast too? I'm sorry if I didn't answer your question that much.

Can someone explain to me how having no grouping/clan support whatsoever institutes a system?

In answer to your question, no. You're golden. Those are the easiest and most rewarding levels. Getting the paid version just lets you do the easy and rewarding levels in different skills. Some of the quests are fun but I felt like many of the high-level member quests were made "hard" by forcing you to walk across the map multiple times.
