I thought there were Three types of people. Those who can count, and those who cant't?
I thought it was those who love pie and those who love cake.
Still upset about the release date difference. Think it's bull, and a sign of a poor studio that can't cross platform release at the same time. Strike 2.
I take that as a bad sign already; however, I am more than willing to try their beta, and judge their product from that.
I thought there was only those who can spell can't and those who cant't.

Assuming the beta won't give too much away from the game's value at launch I just wait and see the console launch since I have plenty of time to decide. I'm glad the PC version comes out with a reasonable delay.
This site has made multiple threads since 8 months ago on a game that is not yet a game released. So yeah you know darn well there is some money floating around trying to manipulate and sell this product.
This site has been all over D2 but with no real substance in threads,go figure tons of attention with no attention to detail.I am quite certain that anyone that knows me,knows i could literally write a novel going into detail on games i love,so go figure multiple threads adding up to pretty much nothing is considered worthy news?
Don't believe it is all marketing bull?Watch the trailers and see the embedded praise by websites that have never played the game,go figure offering praise as BEST OF before the game is out,so yeah bullshit marketing.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.
of course there is money floating around trying to manipulate and sell it. thats marketing.

I'm sure Bungie has to be just thrilled with you telling potential sales to not bother trying the beta. Brilliant. They know people are going to potentially pre-order based on this beta event. They're not stupid. Look at how they're advertising, and pushing this beta event. It's hoped to get more sales.
PC gamers wouldn't be so quick to flame it if they had brought it also to PC with the first title. They made the decision to alienate. That was their call. Any backlash from it is on their head.
As I said, I am willing, no wanting, to try it. I loved Halo. This is their chance to convince me this is worth my money. As the consumers we have the money they want; therefore, they have the task of convincing as many of us as they can to purchase their product. Competition is good for the consumer.
What ?
So, if they make a thread about a game you love, 8 months before release ( which I am sure they did in all this time you've been around here ) , what would you say ?
Anyway , 95% I didn't understand a shit about what you've been writing here ...
.. or in any other posts of you! No offense
Reporter: What's behind Blizzard success, and how do you make your gamers happy?
Blizzard Boss: Making gamers happy is not my concern, making money.. yes!
I'd advise reconsidering this.
The original Destiny launched with very little content and not a whole lot to do, but the first Destiny Beta launched with lots of story content to play and a big chunk of open world to buzz around in on a Sparrow, plus PvP, plus a Strike.
This is one story mission, PvP, and one Strike. It's much, much less than the old beta offered, despite the fact that the base game for Destiny 2 promises to offer a whole Hell of a lot more content on release. This is coupled with the fact that Destiny's post-release updates and changes were pretty much universally great; they weren't all perfect, but they have significantly refined and updated all the ideas from the original and made Destiny into a -very- playable game.
Also: you only spend money on games you'll play for 3 months? How many hours is that?
Have you bought a movie ticket? Gone out drinking with your buddies for an evening? Do you understand the difference in valuation regarding amusement-per-hour-per-dollar that you get out of other activities that you participate in?
$60 for something that can amuse you for a week of hard playing is a pretty good fucking deal, all things considered. If you'll -only- cough up for stuff you'll play for several months on end, with no recurring subscriptions etc., then it seems like your expectations are wildly out of proportion with what -any- game could provide.
I don't like the PS4-exclusives thing any more than anybody else does. That shit is bad for video games, full stop, and I wish folks would stop doing it. They think it's successful, but it isn't.
As for the combat system, it's quite different; shotguns and sniper rifles are now Heavy, so you give up a rocket launcher or a grenade launcher etc. to bring one into combat with you. Most of the other weapon types are spread across Kinetic and Energy, which means you have a Heavy weapon (with an element), an Energy weapon (with an Element), and a Kinetic weapon (with no element, which does extra damage against red bars/shield-down'd enemies). The Kinetic and Energy weapons can both be an SMG, although one will do Solar and one will do Kinetic. The K/E slots feel very similar; hand cannons, assault rifles, DMRs, pulse rifles, you name it.
Cooldowns were increased for abilities across the board, which also means you're unlikely to encounter an absolute forest of lightning grenades on every point, and you'll probably have to do some real scrapping with people instead of relying largely on abilities to win fights for you. This was not the case in Destiny, and having been a Halo fan from way back, I'm very happy that gunplay and map control are becoming a more crucial part of moment-to-moment play when compared against cold-blooded shotgun bushwhacks, fight-free sniper rifle kills, and 8-second cooldowns on grenades that light a whole room on fire for 6 seconds apiece.
Overall, I found it a much more interesting shooter than the original Destiny, purely because 80% of successful play was not 'equip shotgun, listen for footsteps'. I'm very excited to play with it on PC.
Uhhh... and also fundamental systemic changes in terms of moment-to-moment gameplay? Extra points if you focus on PvP. And, y'know, the game STARTS OUT WITH AN ACTUAL VILLAIN, which is not the case in the original Destiny. What the fuck was that black-heart stuff? Who cares? If you didn't read the Grimoire pretty thoroughly, most of OG Destiny's story was just fucking nonsense. Good guys need a fucking bad guy, and they have clearly figured out that 'The Darkness' and 'urgent mysteriousness' is not enough of a bad guy to carry off a story.
I really like Destiny's writing team (good lord the Book of Sorrows, uuugh ), but their cinematics and the story content of the game were -basically- all nonsense at the start. <br />
I was very glad to see some real villains and characters emerge as the new expansions started dropping. Doubling down on Cayde-6 was no mistake, and Oryx, with his not-nonsensical appearances in-game as well as his straight-up excellent, best-in-class Calcified Fragment underpinnings, was an actual thrill to fight and destroy.
For real, that Book of Sorrows fella took an immensely boring sprinty space zombie race and turned them into a legitimately interesting, understandable side in a crazy-ass interstellar war. Very impressive work for a bucketful of retcon.

'But there are many. You can play them entirely solo, and even offline. Also, you are wrong by default.'
Ikcin in response to yours sincerely debating whether or not single-player offline MMOs exist...
'This does not apply just to ED but SC or any other game. What they will get is Rebirth/X4, likely prettier but equally underwhelming and pointless.
It is incredibly difficult to design some meaningfull leg content that would fit a space ship game - simply because it is not a leg game.
It is just huge resource waste....'
