Hyper Universe is Nexon’s take on the 2D side-scrolling MOBA popularized by Ronimo’s Awesomenauts back in 2012. The game recently went into a buy-in Early Access on Steam (it will be F2P at launch) and we took the opportunity to check it out.

    It feels a lot less fluid than I thought it would, do not like the netcode in this one, but if they can smooth out the input lag issues and do something about their EU infrastructure I'll gladly jump in again.

    I dont like how they are blocking half of the earth from the game. I'm from SEA, we are mostly English, so on many publishers usually put me on The Americas region (Blizzard), or Oceanic/Aus/NZ instead of their Asia region.

    On Hyper Universe they wont let me play from the game. Do they expect me to play KR version of the game because im from Asia?

    Its not about language lol.. its about your LAG ruining games across the world... how is it hard to understand that?

    Ok, they only have 3 Servers.
    - US West
    - US East
    - Europe

    If it's about lag, why don't they block Australian/NZ from playing as well? I asked my Australian friends their ping to North American servers were pretty much similar to Singaporean accessing NA, 175-200 ish.

    I came from an era of side scrollers. I used to like side scrollers. But we have advanced to 2017 and side scrollers seem just so retro....or a step backwards. I know there are people that have not played side scrollers and I am not trying to throw rain. It is just to me that side scrollers were from a time when you could not get anything better.

    Pretty much this.

    Fighting games are all about responsiveness - input lag = nope.
    It's not really a fighting game, it's more of an action game.   There isn't a lot of input lag either.

    It's a MOBA, now with one less dimension!

    I wish it were a PvE game instead.  Elsword is really starting to show its age, graphically.
