Divinity Original Sin 2 News - Divinity: Original Sin 2 proves that there is still a robust market for cRPGs. In just over four days since release, the game has sold nearly half a million copies, 180,000 of them since release day. In addition, over the weekend, over 85,000 players were online at the same time that caused a bit of stress on the servers.

It is insane how much more client/player friendly and polished games, european developers have made the last 3-4 years in contrast with North American ones

I don't think there's a correlation in that regard. That said, DOS2 is a highly polished game, though bugs remain that have been present throughout the last year of EA. Hopefully, they'll get them squashed in a future patch. Ever hopeful, you know.

Good news indeed people know a good thing when they see it obviously. See you deliver quality and people buy it on day one and at full price.

What even are you talking about? If you had some examples maybe your statement wouldn't sound incredibly bias. Maybe the ones that get big, but I'm sure there is plenty of garbage coming out in europe too.

Yeah most gamers don't care, but then we have to take a look at what could have happened here for example...

Im glad I don't use CC Cleaner I do it manually cleaning my stuff, but over a billion devices glad it didn't do anything bad but it could have.

^ But in short this is why I care and don't trust Denuvo as a DRM, or other programs / Anti Cheat that install without asking :3.

Glad it doesn't use it ill be buying the game shortly myself.

Ok, but equifax was breached and gave up a lot of private information.

So did many other stores and websites. Target, JP Morgan, and EBay.

You can't just point to two websites where you don't like their service and use that as the litmus test.

Win 10 is pretty invasive all by itself in it's default mode with inking to log keystrokes.  Didn't a guy from a credit agency lose a laptop with consumer information on it?  I've gotten three offers to have my credit monitored for free because of breaches so far.  One from a hospital network who kept data on uninterrupted computers.

Plus those are just ones we know about. So many people get hacked every single day and give up customer information without providing any information to the public on the situation. I got a new debit card two days ago due to shopping somewhere that was known to have a breach in security, but it didn't tell me who or what. That's happened twice or three times now in the past year.

Yeah but see the difference is by (One) knowingly agreeing to a terms of service when installing software except in cases where they do not make you aware such as (Black Desert Online & XingCode) at time of purchase didn't let me know it used 3rd party software or Anti-Cheat and I could never find in their Terms & Conditionst about other software.

Equifax for example I am not sure if my information was compromised, but yeah companies like "Equifax" as I never signed up for an account there or anything but I am aware certain credit-reporting agencies keep information, if that information from their company was leaked they can be legally held accountable, as well as companies like https://www.theretailequation.com/ which collects information when people make returns to a store to prevent fraud half the time people don't ask consent, and yeah stores like Target & such don't even inform you that your credit card information is stored because it should not be in cases like that where you didn't consent yeah its a totally different game.

Obviously I can't prevent everything that isn't on my end but when it comes to programs installing other programs, or in cases of CC Cleaner for example I don't install these type of services on my phone or device because I know what risk they pose.

I know CC Cleaner for example is a popular APP used by many you don't know how to clean their device by hand for example and its not exactly that I hate it but I would never permit such a program without good security to stay running on my system as a service I would only start it clean if needed, and set to manual chances of being effected by such an application on a PC system would go down, but at least with CC Cleaner for example they provide a uninstaller unlike some.

You can't really take responsibility for other Real World stores actions or security of other people but you can try to make yourself as secure as possible which is why I am glad Divinity 2 did not use Denuvo <3, and when my checque comes in next week im buying it totally hands down they make $99 from me soon.

I hope this game does well with its sales, always good to know some developers from game studios are keeping its customers in mind.

True story, last night i had Black Desert up and saw the "X" icon indicating Xingcode was running and I immediately thought of you and laughed.

To me, you have become the poster child for disliking anti-cheat software.

Funny thing. On a whim I decided to download Blade and Soul to level the new Gunslinger a bit. When XingCode popped up I immediately thought of Renoaku and DMKano. I'll give them that XingCode is annoying.

But I think the DRM thing has very little to do with people buying the game or not in this case.

While your assessment of the EU may be true, globalism is not going away any time soon.  With advancement in technology, it will only grow.  England, in the long run, likely hurt their position in that emerging international conglomerate by withdrawing.

I still added the game to my steam list to buy in the next couple of weeks or so ^_^...

I read the other posts up there, there really isn't any point in cheating in a single player game because what is the point of buying a game if you are just going to use cheat codes or something to gain an unfair advantages and progress through the game really fast ruins the whole game for me personally, although it does say Multi-Player on steam as well I assume this is just Co-Op?

And its not that I am against Anti Cheat programs, I totally love seeing everytime I am playing a game and see "Fairlight Banned" X player for cheating, I am just against any Anti-Cheat that installs itself without first getting permission from the user installing the game and acting like a Root-Kit which is what most Asian games tend to do, but I currently have "Battleye" & "Easy Anti Cheat" both on my pc, both are respectful developers and provide uninstall information / privacy information unlike the ones from Asia, never been banned from any of the games I play using them.

Also that other post was funny I still laugh over the "Hi Im Delivery" thing I still laugh at that :3 Jokes on them though the game is dead in the watter, and 3 of my gaming community hubs on discord with over 300+ members in each all dropped the game over-All I am happy with the outcome of everything drama aside there are just better games.

Oh and Blade & Soul, yeah it could have been a good game, but all they did was swap "Game Guard" for "XingCode" which is just as bad in my eyes because both install without asking permission first, and problem with this anyone playing the game for example and had game guard installed now have both on their system which in rare cases can cause performance issues at least it did for me on my older system when I used to blindly run Game Guard in many games without knowing what it could do.

Actually, with technology as it's proxy, you may be right, in a sense. However, Trump, and the rest of the nationalists is not going the way of the dinosaur. In all actuality, it's the current form of globalism gives it all to the east, at the cost of the west. Once the west says no more, you'll see what nationalism really means. In this current paradigm, conservatism is the new punk rock, because the left, IS the establishment. You can't be the edgy counter-culture if you are the establishment. It just doesn't work that way.
