I am very tempted to try GD.

But then again, October will be new patch for D3 .

How would you compare GD? With D3 or PoE ?

Blizzard Boss: Making gamers happy is not my concern, making money.. yes!

Not sure why, but I just can not bring myself to liking this game. It just tries too hard to be an Indie Diablo, plus it's really rough graphically.

Don't agree with your analysis sorry. Its roots are in Titan Quest which did it's own Diablo thing it's true.. but GD has moved a long way from there. They are their own game now. The gfx are not smooth like D3 but I sure like them better than POE. The skill/build system is incredibly deep if you choose to play it that way. The combat is slow tho in comparison to D3 for example so beware of that. It is very rewarding/fun tho. If you played any Titan Quest and liked it I would highly recommend this.

Really rough graphically?  Either you have never played Grim Dawn or you are just trolling!  This game is light years better than Diablo III IMO.

    Looking forward to the expansion.

I love the graphics, skill system, builds of GD. but the reputation grind takes too long esp for a first timer.

Damn all the these good games coming out... I've just started Divinity:OS 2, only half way through FF:XII ZA, Persona 5 is still on the shelf, and Nioh has DLC I haven't finished... not that I should be complaining; this is a Day 1 purchase even if only to support the Devs (and the true meaning of the word 'expansion').

Well the game is way deeper than D3 and that's for sure. You and I like the gfx but if one expects the kind of smooth kill a million mobs with trillion level crits that D3 provides then you won't find it here. That's all I'm trying to say. As an ARPG I think Grim Dawn is a stunning achievement and will be buying the expansion to support these people as soon as it's out the door. We need more of this kind of game and these guys know what they're doing.

Best ARPG on the market, Crate knows how to make a real expansion packed to the gills in content. From what i know there's hours of gameplay in that expansion alone...that's not including replayability of it which is huge. Ive got over 1500 hours in the base game already

All that content for 17$ is a steal! I'll be buying 3 copies just to support the team.. hell i'd spend more if there's a collectors edition. You got a dev team of 13 people compared to diablo 3's team that releases 2 maps and a character class for 15$ ?!, all the while Crate pumps out a expansion bigger then a yearly cycle of d3 content in just one expansion.

The games soundtrack takes me back to d1/2 tristam which really makes this game more like Diablo then Diablo 3 is..all the music, the grit, the lore, the enviroment, the loot, the classes and the huge beautiful open world that makes this a must buy for any ARPG fan.

All we need now is for Ashes to be a huge hit and we can either get a another expansion or maybe a new engine and get Grim Dawn 2 , my pipe dream would be to get server side tech with GD2 but it would be highly costly to run servers like that so i'll be happy with another expansion. Imagine if Crate had Blizzard's budget..they'd be a power house.

lol You guys are ultra sensitive over this. It's just a game and I didn't care much for it; big deal. I own other ARPGs I like better, this one bored me to death. That and I never mentioned Diablo 3, only Diablo in general. I wasn't a fan of 3 either.

Lost 200 hours of progress and quit. Guess I could give the new class a go since the game is pretty good anyways.

This isn't a signature, you just think it is.

If you're a fan of isometric aRPGs then you should own and have played all three, it'd be a crime to yourself if you didn't. You don't really need more info than that really.

It is without a doubt a good game and is some people's favourite. Even if it isn't your favourite, you'll still get your monies worth.

The content is free. What's your point. Do you always post random useless facts in a thread?

Water is wet. Now we've both said something obvious for the day.
    You're triggered, because you're Blizzard/Diablo 3 fanboy, or something?

No, Necro class isn't free, it costs $14,99, and Grim Dawn's expansion will cost $17,99.
    Do the math with price/content.

In the future post something like this: "Do you always post facts, that are radnom and useless for me?"
