Before ALL jews were expeled from Aelia Capitolina (Jerusalem) 132ad, and before the zealot revolt 67ad there was a certain King of the jews crucified with the INRI titulus (John 19: 19-20) attached ( latin: IESVS NAZARENVS REX IVDAEORVM ), ( INBI greek: ?????? ? ????????? ? B??????? ??? ???????? ) ( and hebrew. )
If you are lucky enought to get to "heaven" do you think it might be disrespectful to call Him slick or dude! well, jesus is a similar slur (ie. mistranslation) on his Name. It might be expected one know the ACTUAL Name of their 'Savior.' But since few actually speak hebrew (btw, at one time hebrew was to be the national language of the US;) the main languages spoken in and around jerusalem were hebrew, aramaic, latin and greek... NO ENGLISH and therefore no jesus name.

Yod represents the "Y" sound in hebrew (the brief {Y'shua to show that brevity} vowel sound under that yod is a shewa, {like the "a" in amuse.}) There was no J (jesus) in the old english (protestant) alphabet.
tse-RE pronounced like letter "e" in "net" the second sound in Yeshua's Name.
Shin "sh" sound in 2nd syllable (there was no "sh" sound in greek alphabet.)
Shureq the fourth sound is "u" like "true" or "ruler" through translations (greek to latin to english) became pronounced "cut."
Ayin is essentially silent, the fifth sound "a" like "father"
Hey (h) finally, a guttural similar to the last sound in the name "bach"... yeshooah aproximate pronounciation.
in greek masculine names ordinarily end with a consonate, usually an "s" sound, less often a "n" or "r" sound... translation from hebrew / aramaic / greek into latin then into old english then into modern english = jesus.
To continue to refer to Him as jesus is to perpetuate the slur on his Name and identify you as one ignorant of his Identity and Message. (btw, Yeshua was a rather common name in those times !!)

I'm glad you were specific in your post that it was for "christains" as for a moment there I was afraid you might be offensive. Granted, being neither christian nor christain I just couldn't care. I would like to point out that if you are going to use the forums for propaganda do some research first.
1. Don't present the fact that in Greek INRI is INBI then not even know what it represents "( INBI greek: ?????? ? ????????? ? B??????? ??? ???????? ) " I'm sure there's an N and two I's in there too Mr. Sajak...

For the record, the primary written language for the bulk of the Mediterranean was Greek.
