About how little press coverage Planetside gets. Shadowbane which is even worse off than Planetside gets front-page coverage about them going free/Wolfpack closing and yet the Planetside Reserves doesn't get so much as a minor note. Mostly people have been hearing about the Reserves only through word of mouth.
Anyway... it'd be nice to get some kind of news update for Planetside on the front-page of MMORPG.com. Right now the reserves are flowing in and the game is getting quite exciting again... multiple max pop continents every night and huge battles raging all over.

Probably has a lot to due with the fact that Ubi Soft made Shadowbane free to all including the current subsribers whereas the Planetside Reserve program is geared more towards providing cannon fodder for the paying customers(Ubi soft also created a new server so the new guys could get off on an even footing with everyone else). I beleive SOE has also bullied MMORPG.com into locking a thread over in the Star Wars Galaxies forum in the past (not absoltuley sure on that but they have locked a thread for a reason that sounded an awful lot like SOE reasoning in the past).
Having said that I did sign up for the reserves and I had a really good time playing it yesterday. So it is indeed worth checking out even if you are cast in the role of cannon fodder.

but yes, I agree that PS should be getting more advertising. With advertisement they would get more people, more money, get more programmers to create more content, with that get more people, get more money... etc etc
I am the type of player where I like to do everything and anything from time to time.

Got a response about this from the Community Manager / News Editor:

Basically, it was an oversight on their part. Apparently they didn't know about it.
