    Nice read.

    My favorite PvP was EverQuest 2. When they finally launched the Nagafen server, World PvP was excellent. No battlegrounds, no safety zones, etc. It was amazing. It felt like a real way, e.g., having to watch your back / duck the guards when adventuring in the lands near the opposing faction etc. Sigh. I miss that in games so much.

    Hands down the best PvP i've experienced to this day is still DAoC RvR!

    Once again another failed list with  obvious games not mentioned...Fallen Earth. I mean if PotBS makes the list Fallen Earth most definitely has to. Not to mention Warhammer. One MIGHT make an argument PvP wasnt a 'cornerstone' but it wouldnt be a very good one. Also Life is Feudal your own. Semantics with the 'released' part but I would say considering theyre making a full fledged MMO now the YO portion is released. Not sure what the official word is on that. But suffice to say theyre not going to be doing a lot of work on it going forward and havent done a lot of work on it the past 18 months.

    So there is a blatantly obvious one and a couple that might fall into a semantics category.

    a top 10 list of pvp mmorpg without lineage 2 is kinda surprising.
    it was grindy, it was clunky by today's standards but damn was it one of the best pvp mmo in its prime.
    and the game is still aliveish and updated 14 years later

    I think the list is pretty spot on. I didn't play number 1 or 10.... Wish I could have played DaoC. Good list

    How is Elder scrolls online on the list, and Lineage 2 isnt?? Lineage 2 had the best pvp, and the best PVP SYSTEM in any game ive played

    There are too many PvP games to list. I got worried SB wasn't on the list, and boom there it was at #3. DAOC is of course the best, but there are a lot of great PvP games. Warhammer for sure, L2 was amazing for its time. Even Aion could get argued onto this list. The fact is there are a lot of great ones, and honestly I think a lot of what makes them great (specifically DAOC, god I miss it)is being lost today.

    ESO and GW2 basicly have the same type of world PvP. Choose one, drop the other.

    Maybe not the best PvP, but I enjoyed world pvp in WoW vanilla. The battle for Tarren Mill, the assaults on X-roads, the defense of the Tram. No loot, no gains, no nothing, just fun and giggles. (oh the first few weeks, the feign death was still unkown to many) Blocking the entrance of BWL and MC in Blackrock Mountain. The massacres outside AQ. The bloodbaths at the portal to Naxxramas in EPL.
    Alterac Valley with its never-ending matches. A lot of players had their first pvp experience in WoW.
