At the time of this writing there are 2,691 keys left.
The fact all of these keys aren't gone now, is proof that the community smartened up and learned the honest truth:
Revelation Online is a Chinese Game made by Netease, which is published by My.Com, a Russian based company. The game is highly P2W and I know from experience. The top players in each server have spent anywhere from $8,000 to $50,000 on their characters in order to do well in PvP. (Their words, not mine....Top players have told me how much they have spent)
Unfortunately, the PvE falls flat on its face due to being given Daily and Weekly Limits on each raid in the game. Its easier to run out of PvE to do than PvP and the game feels "Full" due to the bombardment of dailies thrown against the player. Miss a daily and you fall behind.
This is not a game for a player to join late.
While experience point bonuses exist, gearing falls upon weekly limits that outside of spending money to circumvent the limits, a player will always be stuck being lower than active players who do their dailies and weekly.
Also, My.Com has been prone to deal with hacks and attacks.
The fact that a lot of maintenance times are posted in CEST (Central European Summer Time) should clue you in
that the localization is mostly European and North America has to conform with European and Russian Standards.
Are you from the future? or just a troll? At the time of writing what I have wrote there are 2,926 Keys Left. Take you copy/paste lecture elsewhere please.
At the time of this writing, there are 2900 keys remaining.
I am neither a troll, nor from the future.
Though it is interesting to note that between both posts, 26 keys have been redeemed.
Shows the kind of population or interest people have towards that game.
More It was 2961 originally, :P
Thank you for correcting me. ^^
It shows nothing to be honest. Considering it was posted at 2:51PM by the MMORPG.com staff, and you posted not even 1 minute "2:51PM as well, stating- "I was shown this prior to leaving this game." I would say it's no surprise not many keys had been taken yet and I return to my original statement that you must have been posting from the future.
Even thought this game is not the best MMO out there, I'm sure it's fun for a few people, so why do you care so much?
now i dont mind china/russian games but they do tend to be rather very heavy and aimed at P2W only. Like you cannot do didly squat without buying stuff and keep buying new items as the come up else you will again be left behind.
Is why i try to avoid any game like that.
Let me make it a lot more clear.
There are three NA servers.
I will guess there are three European Servers too.
The first sentence to this is:
"MMORPG has partnered with the team at Revelation Online...."
Translation: "MMORPG has partnered with My.Com"
as Netease is too busy dealing with the original version of the game.
MMORPG is a site that is heavily traveled by MMO gamers.
One of several sites on the net people go through..
Just look at the hit-counter on the main page.
If you want the screenshots, I can give them to you (if you ask nicely):
Basically they are Key-Count with Time-Stamp from my Windows Machine.
From what I have so far:
2,685 Keys @ 9/11/2017 - 09:34PM
2,581 Keys @ 9/11/2017 - 11:25PM
2,510 Keys @ 9/12/2017 - 01:13AM
2,334 Keys @ 9/12/2017 - 06:33AM
So if I round it by a minute...
Its 351 keys redeemed in a 9 hour period.
351/540 (since 9 hours is 540 minutes) = .65 Keys / Per minute.
Its true some people enjoy the game.
However, this post is not about whether some people find the game enjoyable or not.
Its more about measuring how popular the game is based on how many of these keys are downloaded.
Granted that Popularity does not always mean a game is great or poor, it does let people know of the kind of activity within the game. Its amazing that out of six servers in the game to a game that has not been out in the West for even 9 months yet in Open Beta has such little activity.
If you want further evidence to the lack of popularity,
Simply look at the game list to find that under the game's name, it does not show a blue bar with votes. Instead it shows "Votes Required."
Play an extremely popular game with a large population and put up 5,000 keys and I guarantee you that in less than an hour, all of those keys would be gone!
Well here it is Sept 12. 2017 at 8:09 Am and have 2,287 keys left..If the game was any good the keys would a been gone in the first half hour or hour of its First posting...I left Rev. awhile back because it suxs..Well any way i am posting from the present.. Good Day! LOL
I retired retroactively..Haha

Probably because the game is garbage.

Try a MUD today at http://www.mudconnect.com/With these reasons alone much of the fan base and playerbase was gone. As a security measure though, the company before you charge anything to them, requires you to screenshot your crediit card, with a photo id (drivers liscense with number, and social security number) and showing your pic with it. Bearing in mind, they want this knowing how many times they were hacked and having the players' account info (and in game bank information) taken. There has been everything up to including money taken directly out of bank accounts (I believe due to this) from random people across the world.
This has been the most detrimental aspect of the games' beginning.
Then to reach this phase here, we have a situation that there was already a server merge, something very needed to bring a bit of life back, as the servers had shrunk in activity (especially pvp) drastically. However as the game is now on snowpine server, there is less people now, than before the server merge. I do not believe there is even 600 people that take part in the biggest war on server (territory wars) on a war scale of 500v500, and this is out of all the guilds combined (which is not many left).
Also getting new players leaves them playing the catchup-game. Unfortunately this game requires a player to spend an incredible amount of time to gather items and equipment or cash. To note, that after playing since open beta began (that day) I still have over 2 months of faction quests remaining. No choice in this. A new person would have a year at least. For equipment and the materials to upgrade / refine equipment a new player will take months of gathering / farming / tasks in game to be able to do it as I had, or they can cash. All during this time they will be oneshot by most anything, including a super tanky vanguard, because they are this far behind.
I have not paid a dime to this company and never will with as badly run as it is. But having started on the first day I have managed to be able to compete now and for a while, with the major cashers. No new person can do this, and it will take thousands of dollars to be able to catch up (having a few whales in guild, none spent less than 3k).
The game has fallen from the no glory it has ever had to where it is now and will not recover. To answer this most important question of why I bother still playing - passing time until crowfall comes out where many of us are going to.
