Unless you are like me and have been living under a rock, you’ve probably heard that Epic Game’s released a free to play Battle Royal game using Fortnite as a base. It’s ruffled some feathers, to say the least, and leave those of us looking to dive into the genre scratching our heads on which game to start with. Do you get PUBG at it’s $30 price tag or grab Fortnite’s free to play Battle Royale mode?

fortnite has armor, not sure why 'no armor' is listed. there's an HP bar and ARMOR bar.

I believe the realism of PUGB will be decisive.

In Fortnite already you see people dropping down from their stairway to heaven, using RPG midair and then quickly place another floor to break their fall or getting rezzed by their teammate.

I pretty much agree with every point you made. I enjoy fortnite more and it being f2p is also a plus. The optimization of pubg makes me have a few performance issues in the heat of battle sometimes and the huge map causes me to have some games where I run constantly and don't see anyone till the very end, making it to be very boring. Fortnite just feels more polished and the smaller map means less running and more action.

Strongly disagree with the inventory "Con".

When you kill multiple people in the same spot in fortnite, the floor is filled with crap. If they for instance had a specific weapon, medkit, armor bottle, whatever... It's going to take you forever to pick the collect item.

Inventory system in Fortnite is awful. PUBG's is not the best, but it's certainly better than Fortnite. As mentioned already, it's a cluster F trying to loot equipment when you've killed a couple people near each other. I like being able to tear down walls and build in Fortnite though. Overall, I still like PUBG for the weapon diversity and modifications, but for free Fortnite seems cool and different enjoy to play. I say play both :P

The fact you can throw up walls to defend yourself in Fortnite is so stupid. Seems like a game for people who cant handle hardcore game style like PUBG. Ive played both. Im not even sure why theres a discussion to be honest. PUBG player base is massive, it will only become more popular once new maps are released. Fortnite will never be in the ranks of F2P games like DOTA 2 ETC. Escape the hype. Come play PUBG : D

"Hardcore" That's adorable. The game is optimized even more poorly than games that have received 1-5% of it's profit margins. The devs just aren't up to the task of making the experience that their foaming at the mouth proponents insist it will be (Or already is, depending on who you ask) It rewards the same low test, low skill strategy of turning off graphical bells and whistles as a handicap for spotting and tracking targets that degenerates used to make Day-Z such a tiresome experience. That, and you're probably one of those gimps that camp the bridge.

PubG was a flash in the pan. It was a BIG flash and it will take a while for the fire to die down, but I just dont see it lasting long. the player base is going to get way too toxic to stay around.

Yupp, unfortunately. While performance will always be better than graphics, PUBG proved there is a huge number of people who pay for graphics and know nothing about performance and smooth gameplay.

By the way, im not discarding PUBG for Fortnite, i dont like battle royale no matter how it looks. Its still battle royale.

Fortnite is the polished game here, so it would be the Overwatch. Meanwhile, PUBG damn near makes Arkham Knight look immaculately optimized.

I don't know if I'd call that 'armor'. You have shield potions that you can drink in Fortnite, but PUBG you are looting pants, chest pieces, helmets...

They will ruin pve in fortnite because the battle royal mode. Like it happened with H1Z1. Don't let that happen.
