Climbing, Levitate, and Zelda

Something in the last stream got me thinking:  That moment in the Gloom atmosphere when Kilsin attempted to climb the pillar…

We've seen climbing in previous streams (Amberfaet, I think?), but it looked like there were only specific points where climbing was possible. What happened in the last stream seemed more dynamic and made me wonder if climbing would be possible all over Terminus.

Is this a feature or should we just chalk it up to the nature of pre-alpha gameplay?

If it is a planned feature, I think it's a much bigger selling point than the press it's currently getting.  Combine the ability to climb structures with a good levitate potion and you have a lot of potential for emergent gameplay similar to Breath of the Wild.  Personally I would have a lot of fun exploring this way.

Am I reading too much into this?

It looked like he was jumping, not climbing.  I think it was a bug.  Maybe he will clarify...

There was some pretty crazy places you could get to in EQ using levitate or jump-climbing. Not really anything hidden content wise, but it did make for some interesting spots to pvp or ambush other players. The zone in ledge inside KC, at the entrance, was great for terrorizing players.

They have said that the climbing ability in Pantheon will give access to different areas or at least alternative paths.
