Chronicles of Elyria News - The Chronicles of Elyria site has been updated with a new post that details Regional Kingdom launch servers. Each Regional server has a number of Kingdoms identified that have recruitment threads on the official forums as well as dedicated Discord channels.

Anyone know how far along this game is? Are we still years from release? It says 2017, but I figured it would be in beta if that were true.

I'm not sure the game's even in Alpha yet.

I'm confused. This isn't like some cross-server faction war thing is it? Like GW2's WvWvW?

Nope. All server will be complet separated from each other. The only PVP that will be happen will be on the same server.

At the moment, Release is planned for Summer 2019. Alpha should start at the beginning of 2018.

Did they even ever end up making a working prototype that they ended up saying their KS was for to get more major backers?

    It's safe to say years.
At the earliest I'd expect a 2019 release. And that's a very generous estimate for a KS title.

Lauch is being put at late 2019/early 2020 going by their 'State of Elyria' blog post which gives a breakdown of how they see development panning out. https://chroniclesofelyria.com/blog/21106/State-of-Elyria-July-2017

There are a lot of 'pre-alpha' experiences before that though which is an interesting take on the development process. We will have to see how those work and if they can engage and build the community, though I am currently hopeful on that front.

we are better off kickstarting mobile mmos, a PC mmo will never achieve the funding it needs unless you are talking Star Citizen level funds. Crowfall might be able to pull it off, but who even knows... it's only getting less popular as time goes on.
Now Playing: Bless / Summoners War
Looking forward to: Crowfall / Lost Ark / Black Desert Mobile

Have you seen what mobile games have been churning out, complete utter crap.Crowfall, pull it off,not a chance in hell.

The only game that will pull off mediocrity  will be Pantheon,i do not see any other game worth a single dime or a minute of my time.Even Pantheon might release a dud, full of bugs, not good enough, who knows but most other games are very transparent,i can see a bunch of garbage on my curbside through that window.

This Elyria is not a game,it is a sell job to get money for nothing "no Dire Straits pun intended".One day they might be able to come into these forums and say "we have a game",that time is not now.

I bet there is 100% for certain a plan down the road to also run a p2w cash shop, this is why people should NEVER be endorsing any product that is not finished.

There is only one game doing it right as we speak.....Project Gorgon, some resemblance of a game, totally free because you know why,it is not yet worth buying even though many would likely buy it at a small price.Gorgon is allowing people to play and for years now,no early access gimmicks asking for founder's packs etc etc.

Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.
