A Non-MMORPG to Play

This probably isn't the best place to ask, but anyone recommend a good fantasy hack and slash?  I'm getting tired of testing out the latest crop of MMORPGs and have decided to just sit back and wait for WoW.  I'm thinking Diablo 2 would fit the bill nicely, any recommendations?

    Diablo 2 is about as good as you can want.  With the new 1.10 upgrade there are all kinds of new character builds to explore.

    Dungeon Siege was decent.

    There are a few others out there that people might recommend.  But D2 is a staple that belongs in anyone's gaming diet.

    Gothic 2 is the best RPG out there, i would go with that if i were you.  Forget Diablo 2 that aint nothing compared to Gothic 2.

    Baldur's Gate 2 is much better.  Even more so with expansion.  But I think it requires some actual thinking so you might want to skip up on it.  If you just want hack n' slash then yeah, go d2.

    I heard Gothic II is really good. Hopefully it is, I've got it on my Christmas list. image

    diablo 2 is lots of senseless fun. most of the fun comes from trading weapons/armor, since there is soooo much equipment. havent played it with 1.10 though, might try it.

    and divine divinity is really good, or arx fatalis.

     Yeah i got 100 bucks that i know of so far for christmas and my games are getting pretty dull. I may check out gothic 2. Although i do need an mmorpg, the only one worth looking into is FFXI but i hear mixed reviews.
