You also have to remember that there are people out there that either can't, or just refuse to pay for a game on a monthly basis despite the fact they provide alot more actual gameplay and better support. As such you should not just dismiss any F2P game entirely, rather you should either overlook it, or post your comments on it based on other F2P games, and not on the level of a P2P.
As a F2P game this actually look to have a pretty good graphics engine, not quite as good as SRO but pretty close and within it's own style. The method for PvP also intruiges me, as you will be forced to share zones with a rival nation in later levels which will improve the need for PvP.
I won't be giving it a shot. I absolutelly hate these types of games with only 4 classes and each class is a "set race". it leads to everyone looking alike(aka pristontale but atleast pristontale had 2 factions so 8 different classes, and also like turfbattles / MU online etc).

Eisenhower, I will say this to you as I say this to others in the opposite direction. If you are used to playing P2P games, you will be hard pressed to gain any interest in a F2P game.
If you always play F2P games, you won't see the benefits in a P2P game despite what you see and hear.
Never compare the 2 against each other, but by games within thier respective set. Sure, if a F2P game shares aspects of a P2P and that is the only way you can explain the comparison go for it, but never compare the game itself on P2P standards. It was not built for it.
So remember people, P2P and F2P are a whole different ball game from each other, supporters of one may never support the other, so don't act like they are crazy/dumb for not following your route. Opinions exist for just this reason, everyone gets thier game play in thier own way and your opinion does not matter to them.
You will never persuade a P2P player into a F2P unless they lost the funds for it and need a good F2P game to try. When they want one, they will look/ask. No sense ascting like they will consider a F2P otherwise hehe.
Silkroad is one of the better F2P games out there, however it still has all the aspects that people don't like of F2P. Stalls set up everywhere for selling wares that lag people down. A lot of lag as was stated earlier, however the community is not as bad as alot of F2P, the random shouters have just gotten started for the most part and don't do it very often at least.
Once the European and Islamic sections of the game get added it will improve alot and offer somthing similar to race/class choices, but until then alot of people aren't going to think a whole lot of it. Personally right now I play Shot Online and a Lineage 2 private server with most of my buddies that also quit Kal lol. But am about to get my Eve Subscription back up. I will still play my other F2P games just not as much.
There still is no reason to use while talking about peoples disslike of a F2P game for it's following the usual form of all the others. No real racial choices, very few classes, endless grind (more then likely mouse based even) and probobly not alot of overall content.
Some people just will not play something that gives them too few options and they are not crazy for it, they just do not like to be that limited.
Sign ups for the Legend of Ares's Closed Beta will start on April 24th.

It usualy is closed beta before the open one. Open beta is usualy stress test and makes sure the servers can handle the load.

More then likely he didn't like the fact an argument started up about him or something. Either way he chose to just edit out all of his text rather then deleteing so he can keep his post count, although I have no idea why he got rid of the game link as well. Maybe he thought we were not worthy of his link after the chat went out?

It gives me the same feeling as RO.
But I love the cartoony way and hopefully, it's a fun game.
Though I'm a little concerned because usually Free = not a quality game
I'll check it out on the 24th
Which Final Fantasy Character Are You?
