The team at Wargaming flew me out to San Francisco for an indepth look at World of Warplanes’ newest revamp. While in their offices, I had a chance to interview Al King, Global Brand Director of Wargaming, and pick his mind about his thoughts on the new World of Warplanes and what he plans to achieve with the 2.0 patch.

    I love this interview. Putting a voice and a personality behind the creators of the game gives a whole new dimension to appreciating the work that goes into these amazing programs. The thing I like best was not any of the tweaks they did in particular, though those seem to address a lot of past issues and sound like will make for a far more enjoyable game and one worthy to commit the time. What I liked most about Mr. King's responses was that... he responded. Their company genuinely presented itself in the interview as tuned in to what their audience wants in way that shows they are working for us to have fun and really appreciate their game and that they are not just making a quick buck. Nothing wrong with making some moolah but I really think it facilitates product loyalty when you know the creators seem to genuinely give a crap about what their market and target audiences think
