Game has been on Steam for a long time and only has 51% favorable reviews with less than 200 peak players on steam based on steamcharts. Seems like another disappointing game from the old guard.

I don't know why, but I don't beleive it. But If it the case, that means , the release is near and if so, the end of the crap is also near. At last.

This really is a good game and the devs have thought of everything! It just has a very steep learning curve

Hopefully it goes out with a whimper and not a bang. It will be easier to forget the "game" existed that way.

Well Lord British(?) is trying to make money off of his dead mom, so milking this thing until it doesn't have a pulse (or even trying to milk after its dead too) doesn't seem surprising. Then again, he was selling his blood to people so I guess this is a step up.

This game didn't that good looking, not really, but Ultima Online was tight.
So I'll wait for the sun to go down because it might look better at night.

Every time I see the SotA icon in the news I know it's going to be a thread full of people (rightfully) bashing the game with one poor soul trying to defend it. You all never fail to deliver, thanks for the morning chuckle guys!

Dont forget the random low-post account giving people who dont like their game a WTF rating!

I see you there Silverfoot, Which of those facts confuses you?  The fact it has been on steam for years and only has a 50% approve rating or the less than 200 player count from steam charts?

    LOL

Honestly, I just bought it, and I'm really enjoying it. It feels old school to me, and I like that. Sure, the graphics aren't great (although not bad either), and the combat and movement has some clunky moments, but I've really enjoyed the writing so far. There's some really clever dialogue if you take the time to read things instead of just jumping into killing stuff. I think I can get used to the card system too.

It's not right for everyone, that's for sure, but it might just be right for me.

I'm just waiting for a F2P overhyped sandbox WoW clone with full PVP, epic raid bosses, instanced group content, and Crysis-quality graphics to come out. That, or something fun.

This is like Pathfinder (I think that was the game that shut down before it even released, wasn't it?) all over again. They'd rage all over their forums if they would get a bad review somewhere, just because the game wasn't "officially" released in their eyes even though they were charging for stuff and then send their followers to spam threads/articles about the game. Just sad man...

Games charging for things before they are released is getting to be the norm these days, so that such is going on in no way implies a game is ready for a final evaluation. I don't see supporters of the game mentioning that when a critique of a game is made during those early stages as something improper.
