Lineage II: Revolution is a MMO game developed for mobile gaming. It has been fairly popular overseas and is now set to hit the US. At Twitchcon I had an opportunity to sit down and talk with Lydia Heitman (Marketing Manager for Netmarble Games) about Lineage II: Revolution.

I'm excited to try this, but I am quite skeptical over the auto questing. I don't like auto questing or auto pathing and I'm afraid it might ruin the leveling aspect of the game. I'm hoping it feels like an actual MMO as opposed to a mobile MMO. After playing almost every mobile MMO, I just feel like they all don't actually feel like something you play, they feel like something you just watch play itself, and you wait for energy or have some form of obnoxious cash shop pushed on you. I just want something good to finally come out. The original Order and Chaos was the closest I've seen a mobile game come to a good MMO.

For my own taste, there's just too much "auto" stuff in general. Without it, it would have been solid fun.

Try to be excellent to everyone you meet. You never know what someone else has seen or endured.

Having played the overseas version, I must say I was suprised at how much I enjoyed it. I don't care for the auto stuff but, its also something that you don't have to use and when you don't, you don't feel at a disadvantaged for not doing so.

Seems like ALOT of content having only really scratched the surface with all the different types of dungeons, pvp, open world bosses (if you want to call them that :D )

Solid amount of content for a free game.

This I don't understand. The only parts that you auto are quests right? and maybe some solo dungeons or something.. Anything with a party or clan you manual. So isn't that what really matters? if just solo content is auto, then what's preventing you from just manualing anyway?

IDK it's a phone game, auto play will always be a thing, I promise you, it will never go away in the mobile realm. In grind games, it would just be super tedius long-term to sit there staring at a phone mashing 3 little spell icons for hours doing faceroll content.

I'm glad you can't auto dungeons and PvP and for me that's all that matters, and all that I have the patience to actually use my attention for the most part.

Sooner or later they will turn on auto dungeons, pvp maybe not. Unless they have too just to keep people playing after a big drop off in how a lot mobile games end up being.

The game sucks without autopathing etc :) The power curve for mobile games is designed in a way where you're suddenly going to have to grind a lot, and nobody wants to grind the same dungeon over and over again on a mobile phone...
