It's because it takes no intelligence or thought to call someone a name. It is used to get a reaction and as a last resort when all intelligent options have been abandoned. And it should bother you when someone calls you a carebear because you don't like PVP. Not because it is offensive, but because they chose to stop using their brain. A mind is a terrible thing to waste. But this is the exact reason I do not get upset... I feel more pity for those who resort to name calling than anything else. As I stated in other places... It just shows their maturity level...
sorry i havent posted much here, so far ive been playing on thelanis, id say that a good chunk of my time so far has been spent trying the classes out, and building custom character templates, im not complaining about that, i like tos ee the diversity of each class, still not too sure on what class i want to pick, and im actually open to joining maybe another server, and a friendly guild who knows whats going on.
also, im pretty sure this game is made for its story line rather than just beign able to lvl, or grind which some ppl might find fun. i myself get around 4 hrs a day maybe to play, and im having a great time, and the community is great.

Seeing as the latest module just added 30 dungeons, I think there is enough to do for a person with a job and social to explore for a month, until the next content update comes along.Personally, I don't play to grind, I play to explore content, since I only have 2 hours of playing time every day, the game will be enteraining for months. If you are someone who grinds 12+ hours a day, then this might not be the right game for you. Exactly! This game designed for mature and serious players. You know, those people who have a job or social life.

Not true. Back in gamefaqs.com, insulting someone was a form of jousting. Think of an insult as an invitation for a debate between intellectuals as intellectuals were the only ones who didn't lose their cool when called a name. To be in the right to insult, you had to include where the person made a mistake or incorrect. If the person lost their cool and began to insult back and make that insult the subject of topic then they were consider a bad debater and then consider insulting a last resort.
These days, kids can't handle insult and will either have your post reported or band together to agree to disagree with your post, which is what happen in gamefaqs.com a few years back. At that point no one wanted to argue anymore because so-so or so-so friends couldn't give a good argument.

Dude that's f@$%ing cop out to hide your own hypocriscy. Here you are evaluating people's maturity level as if you are above them, yet you are wasting your time arguing with these same immature people in these forums. The same excuse was said in the past messageboards I've been in too. Judging other people's maturity is another form of denial to avoid facing the fact that you don't belong on these forums and you're not trying to learn to deal with the people on their own level. Say what you want about how people degrade their maturity level with insults, but most messageboards, if not all, have immature people on. Alienating people based on how they treat you doesn't make your posts anymore right nor more mature since you doing the same thing, but from opposite perspective.
I agree. I have played several MMOs and so far this has been one of the most enjoyable. I play on the Mabar server and have never had a hard time getting a PUG. I am not a part of a large or active guild so to get my main to level nine has been totally with PUGs. I generaly think that the people who have had a hard time and complain that they can't find groups most likely pissed off a bunch of people or were just not good players so when people see that they are lfg they are ignored. It could also be the server they play play on is not very populated as well but who knows.
I've seen so many posts on people who dont like Turbine and have nothing but bad things to say about them since AC2 but do any of them know that the dev team for alpha and beta were from Microsoft and Turbine was forced to pick up the peices, fixing major issues like the broken GUN chat system from MS, after release with their team? Turbine invented monthly content no one was doing it before AC1. My list of played games (that kept my interest for more than a month) AC1, AC2, EQ, EQ2, CoH, WoW, and now DDO and so far DDO has had the best start and most potential than any others I've seen.
To all the WoW players, do any of you remeber how buggy WoW was at release. It put most everything else to shame for released bugs.
Solo content has been gone for a while now from all games execpt for a small amount in lower levels. This is not just a DDO thing.
If you dont like this game stop reading, trolling, the forums on it, stop paying for it, and move on. Stop being the stalker ex boyfriend/girlfriend and get over it and yourself.
So yes this is just my 2 cents and yes I love this game. Let the flames begin.

I have been playing WoW since open beta, and, quite frankly, I do not remember it being that buggy... Yes you had to wait to get online to play, but that is not a bug per se...
WoW still has solo content from level 1 to level 60... And I know that you can solo up to level 20 on DAoC also... Don't know where you get your info from, but it is wrong...
And it is a DDO thing... Again I ask you to name an MMO that has no solo play... Not to just say all games...
