#1) Sorta "Aye", don't have a regular game but I still have a) my MxO account and b) currently beta testing a very wonderful mmo.
#2) I've played quite a few I suppose, Lineage 1 and 2, SWG, MxO, SoR, Eve, Planetside, WoW, EQ, EQ2, FFXI, DAoC, CoH, AC.
Unfortunately, I don't quite agree with everyone, I don't think every game out sucks at all, I think there's quite a bit of quality gaming available to players right now, I just think we're in a place where gamers want "more" and "bigger" and "better" and we want it right now.
Which is great right ? I mean consumer purchases is what drives a market, the more we demand, the more the industry has to compete and keep up.

Hi! My name is paper. Nerf scissors, rock is fine.

me = homeless
waiting for AoC
nothing else out there now is any good.
Don't know if I could officially be counted as MMO homeless since I have regular MUDs that I hang out on and I still drop in to play a pick up PvP match in GW. I also have both Goonzu and Turf Battles on my computer but I don't play them that often.
Games I've played:
UO (Second Age expansion for about 6 months)
EQ
AO (off and on for about three years)
AC (three months around it's release, split between Darktide and some other server)
AC2 (just the trial)
COH (before COV for about three months when I reached the level cap and moved on)
DAoC (just the trial, it managed to bore me to tears in just 14 days. That's gotta be some kind of record!)
E&B (about three months and then it shut down. DOH!)
GW (still play pick up games and I'm waiting for factions)
Phantasy Star Online (bought it on the Dreamcast. Can't play this game online anymore, but I still play this and other games on the Dreamcast)
ROSE online (Beta. Let's just not mention this again)
Ragnarok Online (about a month. I liked everything about this game, other than the grind)
Nexus, the Kingdom of the winds (Way back when my computer was just an overclocked 486)
Meridian 59 (around the time of it's release. Didn't like their pricing model)
And, of course, I still MUD quite a bit. Although I'm wondering why more graphical MUDs aren't appearing. I don't think it would be that hard to put together something like Nexus or Goonzu with OpenGL or DirectDraw. Yes, you can still use DirectDraw, but it's considered depricated so your compiler will throw a fit and give you death threats, but it'll still compile.
Anyway, I'm currently waiting on Roma Victor and that's about it.
aye aye capn
Played :
Oh fug it... look at the list on the left, Ive played em all and most from Beta.
Currently homeless and look like being that way for some time because almost every up and coming title does basically nothing for me, nor do they advance or change the genre in any meaningful way. A grind is a grind whatever skin you put on it.
Currently playing BF2 and have been enjoying it immensely for over 6 months. Also playing Oblivion and every MMO developer should play that game and then hang their heads in SHAME that cant build anything NEAR as fun, exciting or adventure ridden.
Just wake me when something interesting happens

Currently playing- PSO BB, nothign else seems worth paying for atm. Having fun but more or less nostalgia while waiting for something decent to be released.
Waiting for- SEED beta next week. I hope it is good, but I have been reading somethings that doesn't sound promising. NOt in the game mechanics but controls and repetition equal to or greater than that in the kill quests common now.
Otherwise I hope Neverwinter Nights 2 and Phantasy Star Universe can tide me over until a good MMORPG is released. If they don't timew to get a xbox360 i guess.
edit: typos are my friends.
I am so homeless right now I can't even afford the cardboard box!
I am waiting for Tabla Rasa, Fallen Earth, and possibly W.A.R.
Current Games:
Was playing EQ2, but if RV can keep my interest will change to that. EQ2 is a good game now, but I am tired of fantasy.
Spent more time online on my DS playing games than on my computer this month personally.
Games played:
Neocron - I love this game... just waaay too laggy and buggy. If bugs were fixed I'd rush back to it in a heartbeat... Oh, and get some USA servers, too.
FFXI - Wish I didn't leave it for WoW....don't want to return now and rework for everything I lost.
Guildwars - Didn't like the pvp in this game. Not really about your skill, but your party setup.
World of Warcraft - PvP is alright, but... it isn't so much about skill more than items that determine winning.
Eve Onlne - Didn't like this game one bit. No further explaination!
DAoC - left game in less than 20 minutes. I didn't like how it played.
Saga of Ryzom - Same as DAoC.
Flyff (I downloaded, installed, uninstalled, deleted setup of this game 3 times in a 24 hour period.)
Planetside - I had fun times back when this was more popular. I tried playing it again and just didn't like the controls... I was too used to NeocronWoW-type playstyle.
Waiting For: something good
Games Tried: SWTOR, Star Trek Online, EQ, EQ2, Earth and Beyond, Planetside, Lineage 2, Eve Online, WoW, City of Heroes, City of Villians, Auto Assault, Fallen Earth
Star Wars: Galaxies - Ibra Olasi (Valcyn Server) [Dead, screw you SOE]
It is hard to say...I am MMO homeless, but I am far from been games homeless.
I would switch back to a MMO with no hesitation if their vision please me, but the only MMO on the market I wanna try that I didn't try for now is Auto Assault and although nice, I am not motivated enough to give up on Oblivion to try it...when I am done with Oblivion, will I buy it or another remain to be seen.
If EQ would have taken a LDoN approach for some servers and remove all raiding on this server and put the loot in some LDoN fashion, I would still be playing there without a doubt...but EQ never did that and prolly never will, and even if they did, they will prolly do it to late. So...
I fear I will be MMO homeless until Bioware hit the market, with a few stops here and there, searching for a home but never finding one...who know, maybe WAR or Heroes Journeys will be home...but...for some reason, I don't believe it will. Bioware, for some reason I keep hoping, despite the fact they downgrade ever since from Baldur Gate II and never where able to rise back, I want to believe they will rise back and beat their old BG serie.
PS: To the person recommending FFXI, I buy it and I was never able to play it because they are lames devs(I was able to activate my account on a computer that was unable to run the game, extremely lame), so Square Enix is on my trash list.

I AM HOMELESS!!!!
And trying to figure out what to play.
I played UO for over 7 years and I loved it but got burned out and the graphics are very outdated. I played SWG for over a year but they screwed it up. I really want a home. I tried both WoW and Anarchy Online for a few weeks and did not care for either.
What I want is:
*a large community (which SWG had before everyone left).
*diversity in the environment (which SWG had with many unique planets).
*PvP that is free for all if you are in certain locations (UO had that).
*A multitude of different professions (How most D&D games have).
*I am not big on graphics but they do need to be somewhat good.
*Grinding doesn't bother me, but I don't want it to take up ALL of my time.
*I like both fantasy type games (UO) and SciFi games (SWG).
Any suggestions?

UO (August '97, start of the addiction, greatest MMORPG coded to date... Still play the emus, Great Lords/Dread Lords anyone? SOMEONE MAKE PRE:UOR IN 3D, QUICK.......... NOW!!!!)
EQ (what were we thinking? pvp sucked)
Asheron's Call (heh)
DAOC (this almost had it right)
Shadowbane (Loved this game when more people played it, take out the level system and it was the closest thing to UO so far, GET TO WORK QUICK............ NOW!!!!)
Planetside (still fun sometimes)
Guildwars (not MMORPG, therefore its trash, but the graphics were top notch, too bad theres like 3 skins for each class, BLAH!!!!!!!!!)
Conquer (passes the time at work)
SO in a nutshell, in my opinion we need two things for the mmorpg world:
1. Fully functional GTA-type MMORPG, (see my thread on this board about this and some of the ideas)
2. A 3d fantasy game with all the original UO features, EQ's item database, DAOC's realm/race war concept, Shadowbane's stances and flying (Z-coordinate fighting) EXP gain for PKing (so its possible to never have to PVE, good code of course, not just kill each other over and over to level, besides, to get the good items you gotta fight PVE, FULLY LOOTABLE PVP KILLING) and graphics to the liking of GuildWars except NO HIDDEN WALLS, BLAH!!!!
Thats just my opinion, I could be wrong
